I wrote to you on 27 March 2018 to say that I was beginning an inquiry into your allegation of a breach of House of Commons rules by Mr David TC Davies MP. I am writing now to let you know the outcome.
I have corresponded with Mr Davies and I have consulted the Serjeant at Arms.
Having considered carefully the evidence I have obtained, I do not uphold the allegation.'

This has resonance.

We are not calling for a new Section 28

That's libellous.

Re Claim 'Mumsnetters call for Section 28'
I think this originates from Emma Healy's blog (MN intern who breached data etc). The MN comment which EH used misrepresented the poster's position (they were supporting trans rights and challenging others on the thread).

I think (from memory) the LibDem LGBT+ twitter account claimed that there was further evidence within the thread.

The blog (which was taken down) & subsequent claim has been widely repeated and perhaps absorbed as truth by some.

Zoe O'Connell's speech at the last LibDem conference references the role that party members played in challenging S28 and how she was personally affected by it as a young person.

Interestingly, during the recent debate on homophobia, biphobia and transphobia in Westminster, Dawn Butler also referred to a social media platform & calls for a new section 28. She did not identify which social media platform.

From the IPSO document:

"The newspaper was entitled to report on research findings relating to the impact of proposed reforms to the Gender Recognition Act. This was a matter of significant public interest, particularly in the absence of official figures on the issue. "

That was good to read.

This bit too from the IPSO response to the complaint:

"In this instance, the complainant’s objection to the organisation which had published the research, and her concern that the newspaper had report its findings without seeking comment from trans organisations, did not engage the terms of Clause 12." Clause 12 "(Discrimination) is designed to protect identified individuals from prejudicial or pejorative references to their race, colour, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or any physical or mental illness or disability."

The Greens, Lib Dems and Labour TRAs all work together to hound people in their own parties and in the other parties.

So you'll get Green Party members complaining to Labour about Miranda Yardley being Trans Officer in the Constituency Labour Party.

Lily Madigan of Labour will complain about the Labour councillor Ann Sinnott who defeated Lib Dem Sarah Brown at the local council elections.

They have loyalty to other TRAs, but have no loyalty to their own party. Strangely this goes unremarked upon in their own parties.
