He's a nasty piece of work. He was bloody awful to a woman last week when she said how hard parenting was.

I was once in a taxi queue with the kiddles (+a fresh baby in a sling) and we were pretty tired after a long train journey and he barged in and hailed the cab and we had to wait for another one.

Any lawyers explain why age of consent is 16 (implied that too immature to consent if younger) but age of criminal responsibility is 10?!

I think his point was that the age for criminal responsibility was too low not that the age of consent was too high.

It’s always helpful to know who the arseholes ARE, of course.

I can't find anything in that twitter thread suggesting anything other than the point he was making was that 10 was too low for children to be criminally responsible, not that age of consent was too high.

I noticed on the thread about Janet Mock that the "fact" invariably repeated on FWR when her name crops up turns out to be a very creative interpretation of what she actually said- is this the same?

I have disliked Christian for a rather long time now. I find him incredibly misogynistic and his attitudes to women and their issues, and his bullying of vulnerable women on twitter, extremely alarming.

I can't back it up at this point so probably best to drop this point but I am convinced there was more to the tweet than this. It ended up as a long spat with lots of tweets because people were so agog. He might well have since deleted his responses.

Neither am I - another poster posted the link to the conversation. It didn't take very long to read and it did not say anything like what was being suggesting.

Janet Mock is an American trans woman and writer . She gets mentioned often on this forum and always with a "fact" which is very damaging to her reputation. There was a thread about her yesterday and it turns out that this "fact" is a very creative interpretation of what she actually said.
