The Police making policy for schools

and insisting that a self identified teenage 'girl' must be allowed to use the girl's toilets:

www.transgendertrend.com/who-is-making-policy-for-schools/

The transgender police officer Lena Denham, used their own organisation 'Transpire' to launch a public social media campaign against the school until they backed down. I'd call that a conflict of interest. I'd be asking whether their behaviour constituted misconduct in a public office? I'd be looking at why this police force is allowing an officer to mix their personal lifestyle choices with their role in law enforcement? I am asking who is safeguarding the rights of girls to privacy, dignity and safety in that school?

Judging by their words and the publicity, it would seem that being transgender is central to their policing - hence all the questions.

That's fine and I agree, but those tweets to the school were from that charity. Not that Sgt, and not the police force.

Would you mind explaining, how you think it is "misconduct in a public office?"

Do you think that the CC of Notts police was correct to record misogyny as a hate crime when they had no lawful reason?

rowdywoman1 · 01/04/2018 17:37

I understand that 'Transpire' is the charity that Gina Denham founded and chairs. This is a link to the charity's home page where the founder's work as a police officer and their personal journey are reportedly all part of a presentation to a Union group. Judging by the report it seems that their role and the charity are completely intertwined.

Re 'misconduct in a public office' - if you read my first post you will see that I asked a question, not made a statement. The definition appears to be:
It is an offence confined to those who are public office holders and is committed when the office holder acts (or fails to act) in a way that constitutes a breach of the duties of that office.
It's not up to me to decide what behaviour constitutes a 'breach of the duties of that office'. I am merely posing questions.
Re your repeated question about Nottinghamshire police and misogyny, perhaps you'd like to start your own thread about it rather than derail this discussion?

OP posts:
Thanksforthatamazingpost · 01/04/2018 18:26

Hmm, I thin’ Gina is crossing a line by combining all three areas:
1 police duties
2trans work with police hat on
3political campaigning

TerranceandPhilip · 01/04/2018 20:01

Re your repeated question about Nottinghamshire police and misogyny, perhaps you'd like to start your own thread about it rather than derail this discussion?

Firstly, how is answering/questioning one of your posts, on your thread derailing? You said;
The Police are not and should not be, agents of social change.
I was intrigued whether you applied that to all aspects of policing or just the bits you didn't like. Should every post in answer to you be a new thread? Pretty strange way of conversing but hey ho. If it's all the same to you, I won't start a new one. Your silence on the subject has answered it for me.

You still haven't provided anything at all though which shows The police are making policies. It's very clear you're determined to link the two when it's clearly not the case. Not one of those tweets to the school were by the police, mentioned the police or were from the personal account of that police officer. Nice attempt at frothing people up though

Interesting to read this today - commenting on the levels of sexual harassment in schools and the related impact on children's mental health:
www.thetimes.co.uk/article/primary-children-suicidal-amid-widespread-bullying-7qqzgqc9x?shareToken=bc1d03820cc6d7e68ed6696e7164cfe6

I wonder whether Transpire or any of the other 'charities' currently telling girls in schools that they have nor right to privacy and that they must undress in front of a born male in a changing room has any insight into the levels of sexual harassment that are happening in schools? If you teach girls that they have no right to consent and that they have no right to establish boundaries, then this inevitably contributes to them feeling frightened and uncertain.

TerfinUSA · 02/04/2018 08:27

That person is VERY happy to conflate their police work with their personal life.

They recently had all the stories about them deleted from the local newspaper because they wanted to pretend they suddenly sprung forth, aged 50, fully formed as Policewoman Gina.

TerfinUSA · 02/04/2018 08:31

oh and they go around making presentations to other police forces, the fire service, etc., based on their VERY narrow fetishised view of 'becoming' a woman.

We are talking INTENSE fetish, their Instagram had dozens of posts where they talk about 'taking their Porsche out for a spin' (they refer to the results of their 'bottom surgery' as a Porsche), and more recently having 'airbags fitted'.

This is literally a person who has reduced 'woman' to being a surgically constructed hole and some plastic implants.

Datun · 02/04/2018 09:02

Yes, the Internet is awash with information. Even if it's deleted, people take screenshots and archives.

I don't know what the rules are, but judging from those tweets there were dozens upon dozens of people that this person encouraged to join in the pressure on that school.

Everybody knows that they are a police officer. I don't know if just that knowledge is sufficient to question the intense pressure that the school was brought under.

Being a known police officer surely gives extra authority to someone talking about the trans-ideology?

And the school don't appear to have been given unbiased information.

I wonder what the headteacher would say? Has he been interviewed since?

TerfinUSA · 02/04/2018 09:14

I think there was a post on Transpire's FB where it said their members had sent FIFTY letters to the school. This was directly orchestrated by Sgt Gina as head of Transpire.

Also conflating the lines between trans lobbyist and police, Transpire setup a 'hate incident reporting' centre with the police.

www.facebook.com/EssexPoliceUK/posts/1144479958969236
twitter.com/transsouthend/status/884786631777058817

The police LITERALLY outsourced law enforcement to Transpire. Just look at the email address on that tweet.

Datun · 02/04/2018 09:23

"Hate incident reporting centre"?

Is that meant to be a police sanctioned initiative?

Because it looks like it's in a tea-shop.

rowdywoman1 · 02/04/2018 09:38

It's all there in plain sight.

As an officer of the law, when Sgt Gina Denham tells girls that it is a hate crime to object to sharing a changing room with a teenage transitioning boy, which of them is going to object. How will the shy girl, the overweight girl, the Muslim girl, the sexually harassed girl, any girl be able to stand up to a police officer and say that they're wrong. That the law does allow for sex segregation. Even parents and teachers will think twice about protecting children if the outcome is a visit from Sgt Denham.

OP posts:
MrsWooster · 02/04/2018 09:46

If the school has been 'outed, can this thread be linked to them to demonstrate that there are views, advice and options other than those of Transpire?

rowdywoman1 · 02/04/2018 09:54

MrsWooster
I think that the school must be 'on lockdown' after all this. I noticed someone comment elsewhere that the leadership team when asked whether girls had been consulted were very defensive in response. I suppose having a campaign against a school led by a police officer's personal charity must be very frightening for teachers. Charges of hate crime would be career ending - hence all the questions here about possible abuse of power.

OP posts:
rowdywoman1 · 02/04/2018 14:23

Goodness TerfinUSA. Some of those posts are..... unusual from a police officer!

I did wonder whether someone applying for a job working with children would get an interview if the prospective employers found their public you tube posts, instagram etc discussing their new vagina (or "orgasmfoundinglovebox" as they # tag it). But maybe I'm just old fashioned.

I also thought that Porsche was a trademark with limitations about who could use it but again, what do I know?

Schools have a huge responsibility when they introduce individuals and pressure groups to children - especially when these people are politically motivated and seeking to persuade children to their point of view. Hopefully schools will use due diligence and ensure that they have checked out the motivations and the moral and legal authority of groups before inviting them in.

OP posts:
TerfinUSA · 02/04/2018 17:59

Yes #orgasmfoundinglovebox is an interesting one, huh. There seems to be a sense that if you are a trans you can say and do whatever you want and it's all part of your legally protected trans-identity.

But if you have are not trans & have a private life that is a bit dodgy you'll get sacked straight away. www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-london-14746003 metro.co.uk/2016/12/23/police-officer-sacked-for-working-as-prostitute-while-on-sick-leave-6342397/

rowdywoman1 · 03/04/2018 20:00

Transgendertrend has an update from their original article, apparently the organisation (Transpire) has now deleted all the tweets from their campaign to force the school to let a transgender child use the girl's toilets. Fortunately they have all been screen shotted.

Datun · 03/04/2018 21:12

Maybe that's because the slides used say changing gender can be fun.

Tell that to Jazz Jennings. Who has no libido, is permanently sterile, and, according to the doctor, needs a tissue expander that will give them 'a scrotum size of a melon' in order to force enough material to create a facsimile of female genitals.

rowdywoman1 · 03/04/2018 21:25

Datun - that's worrying.
I do hope that wasn't their youtube video being shown to children with all the information about dilation of a constructed vagina. I'm sure it wasn't - a police officer would be acutely aware of safeguarding issues.
I absolutely understand that we should answer children's questions openly but there are real concerns about age appropriateness, (including differences with children with SEN), unintended traumatising of children with information that they are not emotionally / intellectually ready for.
Parental consent is also an issue? Schools ensure that parents are fully apprised of the details of sex education programmes and 'sensitive ' issues? I wonder what the consent forms for this talk looked like?
I can't see from the photo the age of the audience but they do look like teenagers - hopefully not and it's an audience of over 18s ?

OP posts:
Datun · 04/04/2018 00:07

I'm not sure of the age range, it just said students.

Nextloorejext · 04/04/2018 07:49

Would any journos be interested i wonder.

R0wantrees · 04/04/2018 09:56

This seems to be the organisation providing legal support: www.pfc.org.uk/index.html#

TerfinUSA · 04/04/2018 10:48

I believe they were A level students, so 16-18. Directly targeting that market

LangCleg · 04/04/2018 10:55

Oh, they are aware. That's why they've rebranded the schools issue to peer on peer harassment and assault - to obfuscate the blindingly obvious fact that the vast majority of it is boy-on-girl.

Shamefully, the politicians are falling into line. I saw Stella Creasy do that to a parent of an eleven-year-old girl forced to watch a boy masturbate in her school's changing room.

UpstartCrow · 04/04/2018 10:57

LangCleg

How is that not grooming?

rowdywoman1 · 04/04/2018 11:13

This thread highlights the importance of schools exercising due diligence with outside speakers and making sure that they are genuinely educational (in the broadest sense).
I am not sure many schools, in Essex or elswhere, would welcome an organisation that so publicly 'names and shames' a school - unless of course through fear.
