Women need more toilets. Cos biology.

And not even one mention about the push to make women's loos gender neutral, thus making even less bogs for women? As was the case at the Barbican.

It does say:

What is the solution? Unisex toilets have been touted ever since one featured in Ally McBeal with equal billing to Calista Flockhart. I don’t like them on two grounds. I would rather share a public toilet with the cleaner sex (don’t protest, men, until you get better at washing your hands). And as women’s safe spaces are being reduced all over the country – fewer refuges, less funding – I am in favour of preservation not neutralisation. Female funnels, so we can pee standing up? No thanks (whoever thought them up has clearly never worn Lycra shorts).

Yeah, I still think she dodges the issue. People always poo-poo (sorry) the gender-neutral toilet issue. I need to pee all the sodding time, it really annoys me, it is important when you are out and about. Some of the comments pick up on it, but most are just blokes taking the mick. Lucy Massoud made the point at the WPUK talk about how employers will just tick the gender-neutral box by transforming the women's loos as it's cheaper and easier than building urinal-free new ones.

I once led a toilet rebellion up a mountain in Germany once. They had a visitor centre with loos and there was a massive queue for the womens, but the mens was deserted, so I went in there as I needed to catch my train. A few other women followed me then more and more. Eventually a man came along and looked a bit surprised, but didn’t say anything.

Grin a toilet rebellion up a mountain in Germany
I rarely go in the men's unless it's definitely empty. I will 'free wee' just about anywhere though, much to the disgust of my kids! I find it a factor whenever we're out and constantly drill in to them to go when we can, rather than when we want to. I have a mental bog map of London I think of decent lav facilities. I feel very protective over women's loos.

We'll face even longer queues now that toilets are increasingly being marked "Men", "Disabled", and "Everyone"...

Perhaps the answer is to temporarily self identify as a man and use their toilets?
