Labour party message - views please

I don't want to send a reply in anger - and would like the views of people here please. I left the labour party amid the whole AWS trans thing. It wasn't just that to be fair, I am also pissed that a 20 year old man represents me in the party.

The message is below - should I even bother replying? I'm not sure who she is referring to regards 'online abuse' - is that against feminists?

I am sad that I seem to have no political home to go to:

Further to our recent correspondence, I'm just sending you this extract from Ann Black's report of the meeting of the Labour Party's ruling National Executive Committee, held last week. Ann is one of the 9 representatives of Constituency parties on the NEC and is a long-serving and highly respected delegate. As you will see she has clarified that the party's position on this issue has not yet been finally decided and the NEC has re-stated that any abuse and intimidation is unacceptable.

"Finally I’ve had many messages regarding the position of trans women in the party. The NEC will agree a statement on 20 March, and until then I would urge tolerance and respect on all sides. The party is clear that discussion should never take the form of abuse or intimidation towards those with different views, a restraint which sadly has not always been observed, particularly online."

TheXXFactor - uggg that's exactly it - I wish I'd replied like that - it's perception as much as official representation. If anything perception counts for more when it is so vocal.

And ShotsFired maybe she didn't reply because she has no argument back (and secretly agrees?).

Labour are sanctimonious and smug and don’t live up to the standards they seek to impose on others. The most disgusting thing they did recently was sliencing an MP for writing about the grooming gang scandals. They seem to be more outraged over the presidents club scandal than 1,000 young girls being raped in Telford, the media certainly seemed to think the presidents club was the bigger of the two stories. I think labour have contempt for the working class but outright hatred for the super rich. They’re a party run by trendy metropolitan pseudo intellectuals always keen to push the latest radical social idea, which at the moment is self ID.

Ha that's what Orwell used to say!
The left don't care about the poor but they HATE the rich Wink

That message is classic fudge speak - it doesn't really say anything at all other than "wait for the official announcement on March 20th and please be nice to each other". I wouldn't have bothered replying to it, as there's nothing much to respond to.

Whoever thinks that a CLP officer doesn't represent the Labour Party is clearly stupid Hmm . Maybe they meant "not everything LM says reflects official Labour Party policy"?

@terfsRus: “Ha that's what Orwell used to say!
The left don't care about the poor but they HATE the rich wink” haha, really? I didn’t know that! Well I guess it’s obvious really, the sexist men at the presidents club were richer than they were so they are keen to stick the boot in. But the girls in Telford were working class so most of them couldn’t give a s* and their MPs aren’t allowed to talk about it in case it upsets their voters. Please don’t think I’m making excuses for the presidents club, I’m just saying it’s not in the same league as the most vulnerable girls in our society being raped on mass for years.
