How many here are Guardians Subscribers?

I am increasingly concerned that The Guardian hasn't, and isn't, reflecting our concerns re TIMs being allowed wholesale access to women only spaces, without a proper debate.

The Tory press seem to be the only ones vocalising our concerns. How many here are subscribers to the Guardian i.e. pay them something?

I am loathe to hit them but really what action do we have left other than withdraw our money?

Definitely not a subscriber. The Guardian used to be my main source of news (great for housing, welfare etc.), but they've already shown us they will put their agenda before women.

Despite widespread coverage from other news outlets, The Guardian failed to mention the 1,200 women in German who were sexually assaulted, raped, and robbed by asylum seekers and illegal immigrants on NYE a few years ago. I won't miss The Guardian if it goes.

The Guardian aggressively supported Iraq.

It approved of austerity under the Coalition government.

Its feminism is of the liberal kind that actively harms women under patriarchy.

I read a couple of its columnists/reporters. But that's all. I certainly wouldn't give it any of my money.

DH is a subscriber. We have both read it since Uni days so nearly 20 years. I am furious at the moment that it is so misogynistic. It will not even allow debate FFS. But it still comes in the house because of DH's subscription.

I just do the crossword now (insert Daily Mail sad face here)

I'm a subscriber. I just feel so depressed about it all, the only actions I can take are defeatist. Resign from Labour Party, cancel Guardian Sad

Trailedanderror · 09/03/2018 12:12

@MacaroonMama do you do the codeword? the reason I've not cancelled yet Blush

MacaroonMama · 09/03/2018 12:36

@Trailedanderror Oh indeed I do! It has come to this - I go straight to the back page of the G2 😭😭😭

I am still as I do like many other articles eg gardening etc and aspects of the times piss me off.

However.

I'm not liking vast amounts of it at the mo.

Good to see Cambridge Analytics caught out in their insidious business by the Observer and Channel 4
