Originally there was to have been a consultation on a bill of rights for victims, which included rules on cross examining rape and domestic violence victims in court.
It has transpired the consultation never even started.

“While the government dithers and makes excuses, women are being abused by repeat offenders who should be on a register, victims are being cross-examined in court by their own stalkers, and rape victims are facing the torment of their own sexual history being used as evidence against their credibility,” said Liz Saville Roberts, a Plaid Cymru MP and the party’s justice spokesperson. “The government needs to remember its priorities and bring forward its delayed legislation as a matter of urgency.”

It's only wimmin - who cares? Seems to be the default. Saddened but no longer shocked.

I saw a poster proudly boasting that only the Tories have had two female Prime Ministers. They went very quiet when it was pointed out that both female PMs have repeatedly taken measures that disproportionately punish women. Feminists they are certainly not.

The left and the right are always at odds over how best to position the boot on women's neck.
