Transition was exciting but scary. It was a turbulent time, hormonally — you’re going through puberty, coming into womanhood and not really knowing what to do with yourself. I think most women can relate to that.

It just makes you realise how much of a costume it is. You only have to change the bits that people can see. How strange to spend so much time and money and PAIN on subtle tweaks to your face but keep the feature that unmistakably marks out your sex.

No it didn't. If you'd gone through puberty as a teenage girl, you would have started your periods. It's not puberty, it's taking sex hormones to develop secondary sexual characteristics.

I do find men having breast implants and feminising face surgery but no genital reassignment weird. In some ways its understandable because few transexuals post genital surgery can orgasm and they never look "right" or work properly. On the other hand what is the point? It is just turning yourself in to a freak that few people of either sex are likely to be interested in. It all seems very silly.

I normally feel really, really apprehensive about commenting on the looks of people I disagree with - but something about Bergdorf's blatant but ultimately unsuccessful imitation of women's appearances really rubs me the wrong way.

It’s not really commenting on MBs looks in the usual sense, more a critique of the ideas underpinning MB’s choices which result in MB having a stereotypical look. It’s uncomfortable going there though, nobody wants to be hurtful.

Honestly, normally I wouldn't give a shit about that kind of stuff and consenting adults can obviously shag who they want. But actually, in the context of what is happening, it is important to remember that language does actually matter and you can't just go changing the dictionary definitions of words to suit your weird agenda.

Most AGPs are heterosexual males. The breasts and the facial surgery enhance their sexual gratification without interfering with their sexual performance. The vast majority of transgender identified males are AGPs.

the PM has said that being transgender is not a illness. I hope Bergdorf paid for those ops and was not a costly drain on the the NHS budget.
