What everyday concrete socially-created divisions on sex/gender exist?

• changing room facilities at gyms and schools
• some competitive sports
• routine cancer tests for cervical and prostate cancer
• HPV injections
• retirement age
• number of times you can donate blood per year

What else is there?

• prisons

(Probably the most obvious one!)

Getting your name on your child's marriage certificate (hopefully changing very soon)

• different shaped bicycles
• different buttoning on shirts etc

Hairdresser Vs barber
Clothes shops/departments

Mothers going to the pub for a drink with 'the girls' after work. This is not a problem for father's as it's not seen as neglectful, whereas when mothers do it is. It's an unspoken rule.

dormitories eg boarding school or youth hostel

Shampoos, creams, hair dyes, etc. "for men"

Uniforms (not just school but army / police etc)

Fashion departments within a store.
Practicality of clothing: men's suits have deep pockets, secure inside pockets for wallets etc. Their business shoes are flat and comfortable. Women's business suits are skimpy, restrictive, have nowhere to keep valuables and the shoes at best are thin soled slip on flats, but more usually pinching high heels.

I’m looking for indisputably concrete examples rather than value judgements.

Things where you’d be asked to stop/leave if you weren’t the “right” gender or sex rather than things that’d get you a few funny looks.

Retirement age is disappearing.

Recommended alcohol limits
Sanitary product disposal facilities
Rainbows, Brownies and Guides

Titles and inheritance -elder sons.

Psychiatric wards.
Women only areas in some places of worship.

Teaching/supervisory staff on school residential trips.

Unmarried parents and birth certificates - dad only included if present at registration.

• some jobs which are exempt from the sex discrimination act, such as teaching in same sex schools, jobs in welfare services eg women’s refuges, and in film or theatre where the role can only be played by a man or woman

Religious institutions such as monasteries and nunneries

Breastfeeding, pregnancy and "new mother" concessions and risk assessments in the workplace?

A tiny handful of gentlemen's clubs in the West End of London.
Mammogram clinic (I've never seen a male member of staff in one)
Refuge for women escaping domestic violence (for now).

Until very recently, I'd have said:
Changing rooms in the lingerie department of big stores
Changing rooms marked as women's
Rape advisory service, women only session
Women's ward in a psychiatric unit
Swim sessions marked as women only

And so forth...

But increasingly it seems that a few transgender activists are testing the boundaries on all of the above.

Helen Rainbows, Brownies and Guides were single sex organisations, they are now single gender, so are open to all who identify as female

There has been no discussion about this, the wording was quietly changed from "single sex" to "single gender" about 18 months ago. And yes, Girlguiding was exempt from the equality act so it was perfectly within the law to be a single sex organisation.
