I thought I'd peaked long ago, but everyday brings a new and higher summit. I'm starting to need oxygen

OP posts:
AngryAttackKittens · 05/02/2018 22:16

Some handmaiden on Jezebel once attempted to pressure me into anal by alternately repeating "but it feels sooo goood" and waffling about how the female body is designed for it (we're not the ones with the prostates, love) and so why don't you just try it and sure you don't have to but your body is made for it and on and on, and I was just going...you don't even have a penis, what are you getting out of this? Do they give you a ribbon for Best Handmaiden and pin it on your kennel? Extra treats? It just reminded me of a dog begging for attention (from the approving men reading along).

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 05/02/2018 22:19

Sex positive means 'women being positive about sex even when it's shit'

Why aren't men expected to be sex-positive? Oh yes, it's because they're expected to find sex enjoyable so there's no need.

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 05/02/2018 22:21

Poor woman was probably resolving her cognitive dissonance as best she could Angry.

TERFousBreakdown · 05/02/2018 22:26

Some handmaiden on Jezebel once attempted to pressure me [whatever follows specifically is entirely irrelevant to the general objection]

How would she even assume that this might be any of her business? Surely what happens in the bedroom (or the kitchen table, or against a tree in Hyde Park in the dark, or a swingers' club in plain view of some 20-odd spectators) is between a man and a woman. Or a man and a man, woman and a woman, or 54 men and 60-odd women for all I personally care!

See, this shit bothers me! Sex is meant to be based on mutual, freely given consent on the basis of knowledge of all the facts pertinent to the situation. Anyone who's not a party to it can fuck right off with their personal take on the situation at hand. And anyone who is had better make damn sure the other person (or people) involved are participating due to their own enjoyment and for no other reason at all.

It's really not fucking rocket science and easily achieved by anybody willing to make an honest effort not to be an arsehole.

Rant over!

UpABitLate · 05/02/2018 22:30

Any chance of more about the post below, I'd missed this...

PerspicaciaTick

India Willoughby looking at the individual, harrowing stories of women abused and killed by men on Counting Dead Women and deciding the appropriate reaction is to feel sorry for men.

UpABitLate · 05/02/2018 22:33

Ah if it's this morning I just found about it on gender critical Reddit

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 05/02/2018 22:37

This basically captures it Up

UpABitLate · 05/02/2018 22:39

I mean for fucks sake.

Not one shit given about us becunted types.

TERFousBreakdown · 05/02/2018 22:42

Not one shit given about us becunted types.

I'm going to steal that expression. Also, you're brilliant!

UpABitLate · 05/02/2018 22:43

Smile thanks terf!

AngryAttackKittens · 05/02/2018 22:44

It's a piece of evil genius really, getting women to police each other's willingness to do whatever some dude wants them to in bed and call it "feminism".

Terftastic · 05/02/2018 22:51

Not one shit given about us becunted types.

No. Over past years I've wondered about this - when it was just MRAs hating women- before the BBC, women's march, etc were all jumping on the trans bandwagon too.

With MRAs and now TRAs - There's some nightmare mix of them desiring us, needing us, hating that we can reject them sexually, envying our fertility and baby-nurturing, and wanting to control, or even be what they both desire and despise.

Elliot Rodgers (MRA) had some deranged plan that completely erased women's autonomy to even choose their own partners. And then shot some of us. I wonder if he was reaching that point in today's politics, whether he'd have transitioned.

Am I close? I am just rambling now.

MyOwnShed · 05/02/2018 22:51

I've just looked up cotton ceiling Sad

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 05/02/2018 22:51

In a way perhaps it's a blessing this thing is overreaching itself so visibly

terryleather · 05/02/2018 23:00

Yup Terftastic as someone more eloquent than I put it They either want to fuck us, kill us or be us.

Some seem to want to do all three...

Terftastic · 05/02/2018 23:03

That is far more succinct than my ramblings, terryleather - and yes, basically the crux of it.

AngryAttackKittens · 05/02/2018 23:15

I keep thinking of the (pretty awful) film Single White Female. If the Jennifer Jason Leigh character had been an AGP it would have made so much more sense.

frogclimber · 05/02/2018 23:18

I'd never thought of it like that angryattackkittens. Do you think that's why so many men identify as women? Because for so long female characters were written by men and other men just took it on face value and thought that's what women think and feel and how they experience life?

terryleather · 05/02/2018 23:22

Angry That's inspired. I think it would have been a much better and more interesting film...it's topical so perhaps time for a remake...?

Waddlelikeapenguin · 05/02/2018 23:23

India Willoughby looking at the individual, harrowing stories of women abused and killed by men on Counting Dead Women and deciding the appropriate reaction is to feel sorry for men.
And another.

terryleather · 05/02/2018 23:24

I wonder how good IW acting skills are...

SophoclesTheFox · 06/02/2018 06:48

That film would be SO much better than the original!

Can we crowd fund it?

thebewilderness · 06/02/2018 06:55

I do so wish the men and the trans identified males would keep the notes from their boner in their pocket.
I admit that I was once again shocked at India W responding to Karen by advocating the 10th rule of misogyny: The worst thing about male violence is that it makes men look bad.

dontforgetto · 06/02/2018 09:24

There are so many things that have Peaked me and yet TRAs and trans allies continually respond to our concerns with "that's just not happening" or that there is no evidence that it is a pattern of behaviour.

They wilfully dismiss our concerns as moral panic or hysteria without showing one ounce of empathy for why we might be concerned.

thebewilderness · 06/02/2018 19:56

Not surprisingly, dontforgetto, that is the 11th rule of misogyny: Basic pattern recognition skills are cruel and evil when they hurt men's feelings.
