I've spent the last 2 days on Twitter, I started a new account to follow what was going on over the self id. I have been looking at Madigans tweets and after the radio 4 interview and the comment made about Linda Belios, how hasn't Madigan been pulled up over bringing the party into disrepute just like the 2 women labour clns?
I saw another tonight in reference again to the radio 4 interview that ended with the disclaimer "I'm a trans woman who doesn't want to be thumped and certainly doesn't want to be intimidated". Surely that alone on a public platform could be classed as bringing the party into disrepute?

I just started a thread about an article that Lily has had published. I think every Labour supporter should read it and remind themselves that this is the Labour Women's Officer speaking.

I've read it and it just proves more and more the woman's officer has no interest in women only trans issues.
There is a tweet from Madigan stating that they are writing an article for the independent. Will be I treating to see if any actual women's issues are addressed in that.

The thing is, he doesn't even seem to be campaigning for trans issues in any constructive way. His entire political effort within Labour from what I've observed has been focused on campaigning for women to be driven out of their political roles and now out of the party itself.

He's not acting like a trans officer so much as some sort of anti-women's officer.

’‘It’s great so many people are joining up to Labour, attracting many people who previously wouldn’t have found a home in the party. However clearly this includes some people with transphobic views.’

Aren’t some of those who are suspended long-term Labour Party activists who have been campaigning since before Lily was born?

I think it’s sad actually for everyone involved, Lily included.

upstart Liam is not the labour party women's officer, that's Dawn Butler.
He's a women's officer for his constituent in Kent.
Dawn Butler should be very wary of this child and I hope she is fully aware.

UpstartCrow · 01/02/2018 12:22

Thanks for the correction.
Dawn Butler has tweeted that she fully supports trans women and gender self ID. I dont know if she realises Lily supports transitioning children, or if that would change her mind.

Indeed. He is not doing anyone any favours and is just all memememememememememe

Lily isn't my local women's officer but I'm currently trying to write an email to my local mp to find his stance on self id. I am really tempted to point out that Lily is not encouraging women to join labour and out of all the publicity Lily has garnered none is speaking about women issues just Lily but thinking about it I would probably get called a bully.
