Is anyone watching the Irish abortion crap?

Because I'm very confused, and unfortunately it isn't something that is easy to talk about irl (in Ireland)

Today I saw this and also caught the end of the news which also referred to some sort of suggestion.

I really hope that the "no restriction up to 12 weeks" is what's on offer. I know it might not be ideal, but it has to be a heck of a lot better than the alternative - which seems to be some sort of "women have to prove the deserve an abortion".

I just don't want women to have to prove anything. I don't want scared 16 year olds being forced to tell their abusive dads that their boyfriend raped them. I don't want women to have to appear in front of a panel of psychologists and prove they are suicidal. I don't want a system of blame, and proof, and evidence.

I just want women who are pregnant and don't want to be to be able to sort themselves out [bitter]. If we can get 12 weeks through, let's do it - sort later abortions later if we have to. Because unquestioning to 12 weeks is better than "available in theory until later, but vulnerable women have to prove they need one" which is just so fucking wrong.

To clarify - we need what the Citizens Assembly has reccomended.

A straight repeal of the 8th.

Followed by legislation to allow unquestioning abortions up to 12 weeks. Other, later ones, can follow as legislation is amended, but let's just at least have some sort of a start.

I apologise for some of the comments on that article by the way; I hadn't read them when I posted and am ashamed anyone could write them.

I'd like to see abortion completely decriminalised in the UK too. A start would be to extend the abortion act to NI and to stop charging Irish women for abortions.

yy, but sadly I can't see that happening.

Every time I look at the Irish government and see a crowd of misogynistic shits, I look North and see worse Hmm

I have no idea how NI stayed out of implementing abortion legislation; that preceded the NI assembly by many decades.

The morally bankrupt over seeing the morals of women

"If women become tired or even die, that does not matter.
Let them die in childbirth, that is why they are here."
Martin Luther. (1500 CE)

What was Luther saying to men?
Perhaps he was meant
"Hey men, absolve yourselves completely, and feel no remorse or guilt if you continue to keep on impregnating your wives over and over again until eventually one of those pregnancies kills them.."
because the end justifies the means!

Increasing the congregation is what is important, who will then fund the church, the temple, the synagogue, the mosque, the monuments to men.!

The disposable sex is female.
And the male has enslaved, raped, beaten, tortured and murdered so many, he believes he is a hero?
Well he always is, in the eyes of his like minded, arrogant vain self concerned self important self absorbed bro's!
