I remember this story when it first made the news last month, where the Digital Entrepreneurship Awards in Manchester featured showgirls on stage decoratively around the male hosts, sexist jokes and so on. All organised by the CEO of UKFast, who has history for making massively sexist social media comments.
He has tried to "apologise" by throwing £50,000 at it, and trying to set up his own fund to address sexism and discrimination in the tech industry. But, he's been rejected by the 50 tech leaders he approached, who would rather the money go to existing schemes.

I'm really quite amazed by the response from the people he approached, who seem to have seen right through him and told him that trying to throw money around isn't going to make people forget about his history.
