If all preferences for things associated with the opposite sex mean you should change gender...
Then will there be no more male dancers?
That will muck up the Royal Ballet.
It doesn't much matter if there aren't any male fashion designers or nurses or early years teachers.
But who's going to play Romeo?

I think they'll find a way of excluding women from men's roles. But I can definitely see an influx of men dancing women's roles happening. Nothing wrong with that IMO, so long as male dancers don't claim to actually be female!

I've seen an increase in men on social media telling women to stay at home. I'm not sure they understand that means men will have to fill all the public roles currently performed by women.
And financially support all of the women and all of the children...

Well, unless the women stay at home and then the man leaves her without an income and wriggles out of child support.
Then it will be the state supporting her.
Thermo that may well happen in acting which is less stereotyped but how many preschool and primary aged boys will there be left doing ballet? They will all have been bullied out of it or told they are girls.

I've always wondered where male ballet dancers come from. I'm not being facetious, it's just that in all the ballet classes I've ever seen (and DD did ballet for years), there's never been more than one boy in the entire school, and often no boys at all. And then if you look at the attrition rate for girls - the vast majority of girls who start ballet as a small child don't make it to grade 8, let alone go on to be professional ballerinas - then you have to wonder what happens to the boys. Even allowing for the fact that the boys who do ballet will be more committed than the average girl, they're not all going to be good enough to go professional.

I realise this is beside the point of the thread, but it has bothered me for years!

My 5 yo loved preschool dance but wouldn't do ballet aged 3 because the girls wouldn't hold hands with him.
He and another little boy are happily being the beginners tap group now!

Can't help thread but where do boy dancers come from (and I agree they will disappear)

Any boy that starts gets loads of support (reduced price lessons once a teen/scholarships/extra lessons and special sessions) plus at a lower level boys don't (generally) need to be quite as good to get in (auditions/schools)

In a similar way a non-white child once acknowledge to be good can access the same but they generally have to be at least at the same standard as the other girls (or better prejudiced mummy )
