I have just been invited to buy tickets to an event celebrate International Women's Day, as follows:
"Women and non-binary people of XXX College, we're excited to tell you about our International Women’s Day Dinner, celebrating women’s fantastic achievements at Cambridge among staff, students, Fellows and alumni alike".
I have replied pointing out that non-binary people, by definition, do not identify as women, so why would they want to celebrate International Women's Day?
I am just imagining the conversation where "non-men" was suggested as an alternative.
