SadAngry

When he asked Mr Manzanares what had happened, the man allegedly said: "She would not stop laughing at me."
Later, during a search by FBI agents, the suspect said, according to the documents: "My life is over."

HIS^ life is over? Fucking hell. When will we stop seeing stories of men killing women

I bet it was a laugh or cry laugh. Poor woman.

VestalVirgin · 29/07/2017 11:34

And again, men's feelings are considered more important than women's lives.

When will we stop seeing stories of men killing women

When the MRAs censor the newspapers and it'll be all swept under the carpet.

Sorry for being negative here, but I fear that's the most likely reason for us to stop seeing those stories. Sad

MineKraftCheese · 29/07/2017 11:36

@VestalVirgin I agree Sad

They'll soon be reported as simply "tragedies" where the women are implied to be to blame for their own violent deaths bc bitches be KRAZY.

I really don't get the message from the article that we're supposed to feel sorry for the murderer.
I think they've reported the bit where he said 'my life is over' because of the horrific irony.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 29/07/2017 12:20

Nothing in the article made me feel sorry for him.

I feel for that poor woman's children. Sad

More details here. RIP Kristy. My heart goes out to her daughters.

This made me cry:

At the time of the woman's death, one of her daughters was reportedly heard saying: "I knew my dad would do this. I knew he would do this."

I live where this ship is docking. Sad People have been talking about it, unsurprisingly. I've been quoting Margaret Atwood all day. I've heard 'no history' 'psychotic break' and 'he must have been ill'. Peol simply don't seem to put together that there are violent men who kill women who are sane.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 30/07/2017 10:42

"A domestic disturbance"

To be fair to the Alaskan police I don't think it is they who described it as such despite the way the BBC reported it.

I don't think anyone who could murder someone else could be deemed sane! He was a violent man, yes, but I wouldn't call him sane. Appeared sane maybe.

AssassinatedBeauty · 01/08/2017 12:57

Of course people who murder can be sane. Otherwise every one of them would get a reduced sentence due to diminished responsibility or whatever. Legally they are sane, unless they are suffering from something like a psychotic break/hallucinations etc.

You might think that someone must be insane to kill another person, but in actuality they were just very angry and chose to act on their anger.

MrsTerryPratchett · 01/08/2017 14:26

Depends on your definition of sane I suppose. I mean as opposed to 'the voices told him' or he had a psychotic break. I mean an abusive man went further this time.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 01/08/2017 20:37

I don't mean voices and stuff like that.

I just mean that a rational human being couldn't murder someone. I also wouldn't seem abusive people to be rational.
