I'm really sorry to be linking to the Daily Shite, but I read this:

And thought the original was shocking, the re-write was great, the mum is a great mum who is teaching her daughter equality, all is good.

Then I go into the comments, and jesus fucking christ. Reams upon reams of people basically saying women shouldn't work, it's in their biology to have kids, they should stay home till their kids are 18, women wanting kids and a career are selfish, working parents are the reason for mental disorders, etc etc.

This really upset me (as someone who had a working mum, loved the independence and after-school clubs, and couldn't be prouder of my mum in her amazing career).

Who are these cave-trolls in the DM comments?! Literally, I don't know anyone who actually has this attitude in 2017. Is it pensioners? Like, WHO believes these things?

My daughter was given a sheet to complete for Mother's Day. It asked what "Mommy's favorite chore" was.

My DD raised her hand and asked the teacher if this question would be included in a Father's Day worksheet.

As the teacher deflected the question, she carefully scored out the question on the sheet and wrote "this is sexist" above it.

The teacher didn't say a word.
