Seriously, do we need body wash to clean our bodies (exactly what says on the tin) or do we need it to remind ourselves of the constant scrutiny and categorisation of those bodies?

heyelp nah sorry, not buying it.
How about if people just stopped banging on about women's 'different body shapes' and stopped making it into an issue as a marketing tool. That might help.

LaLegue · 13/05/2017 16:20

Wimmen, even if you're fat you can at least still strive to be pretty
You're welcome
Dove

PMSL at that. Grin

I don't know why they keep banging on about beauty either. They make washing products. Last time I looked I never became more or less beautiful by using soap or shower gel. Confused

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 13/05/2017 16:27

The Dove bottles are sent in a set of 7 different shapes as a thank you gift to women who are supporting positive body confidence online. They were never intended for sale. They have been doing this for months now. Dove work tirelessly for positive body confidence in young people with the biggest self esteem education programme in the world. Give them a break ladies! They are the good guys!

Were you employed by Dove to write that nonsense?

Dove's ads have been patronising nonsense from day 1. We are not all beautiful.

Their ads are solely designed to con women into buying run of the mill cleansing products which were readily available in non- gendered formats from Boots, Simple and dozens of other brands.

And don't refer to me as "guy"

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 13/05/2017 16:28

Oh sorry , you were calling them "guys". Do Dove only employ men?

HmmOkay · 13/05/2017 16:47

I am trying to imagine the equivalent range for men's body shapes:

  • Beer Belly (maybe Stella Belly if they are looking to partner with another product)
  • Long Streak of Piss (they might have to go it alone on that one)
  • Popeye
  • Man Boob

Astonishing that these haven't been launched, eh?

Unilever the good guys, nah.
