That's right, clarity is certainly needed, and you're right, it is apparent that there is a great deal of fear surrounding these issues.
It seems like being seen as being anti-trans in any way, or worse, being labelled a TERF, is the absolute worst thing you or your organisation/company can be lumped with. It also seems that there's a core group of very aggressive trans activists that are aided and abetted by a whole load of naïve people who certainly mean well but who don't seem to have read the MN feminism boards engaged with the full range of issues or considered the deeper implications for women and girls.

I love Amy and like a lot of what Smart Girls does on social media, but I honestly think that it's problematic that a platform that purports to be so strongly advocating for girls and women is allowing this type of extended, "Amy Poehler's Smart Girls" branded trans activist content.
