A Mary Beard quote.

Which male in power would you happily see the back of and which female would you replace them with? Grin

Trump not allowed. Too easy. It can be low level too, like your boss or a headmaster.

It's a very interesting read. I think what got me was the suggestion I was not a proper Labour party member or voter.

ALass... seeing as the Labour party now has more members than all other parties combined, (a predicted) 80% of whom support Corbyn, I would have though that listening to what non-Blairites have to say may work to your advantage

This is no repeat of "Foot".

I know you and your establishment press bed buddies love to dismiss JC as pie-in-the-sky, but the disruptor has landed

With a 52% female cabinet

Could the above post be more wrong? A little unfair perhaps to single that one out- there were plenty of otherd.Yet despite everything at the recent by election disasters his supporters were still banging on about the number of members.

(In the interests of fairness Corbyn may well still have a 52% female cabinet- I'm past caring- as is just about the rest of the electorate)

The Labour party needs a new Blair. I don't see one appearing in the near future.

Meanwhile we wallow about (in England anyway) without an effective opposition Sad

HelenDenver · 06/03/2017 19:46

That comment doesn't suggest you are not a proper member, Lass.

It (rightly) says the majority of members were pro JC.

How can you quote something and then so wilfully misinterpret it?

MrsDoylesTeabags · 06/03/2017 20:29

I'd swap my Department Director with our Senior Buyer. Took me about 2 seconds to think of that. She'd do a bloody good job too.

As for JC, I don't care who they swap him with as long as they do it soon

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 06/03/2017 20:39

No Helen it doesn't say that but I did not say it did
.
The post I quoted was simply one that struck me at the time as spectacularly missing the point and even more so now.

And of course suggesting I have "establishment press bed buddies" whoever they are.

There was a post Are you actually a genuine Labour Party member, or supporter, as you don't appear to behave like either It got a bit muddled as to whether it was me Yonic , Amethyst or possibly all of us who failed.

Of course female power has to be at the expense of male power. Feminists don't want equality. No one wants equality. When it comes down to it people want power, privilege and advantage over others. Humans are driven by three things: money, power and sex. Women are no different.

It's just that so far men have had all the power and now women want it. Fair play I spose.
