Doll has been assigned transgender at construction. Has anyone asked the doll how it chooses to identify? I think not.

Hopefully I won't sound too crass but this doll seems to me to be a sales gimmick, like most things in life

It will thusly, stay permanently naked and frizzed of hair until she decides to bury it in the garden (if the fate of her other dolls is anything to go by).

Transphobic violence!
(nevermind that her other dolls were cis. Cis women don't count, obviously)

When I was about 7 I stopped calling one of my teddies by its previous male name and gave it a new female name (which it still bears 30-odd years later). Did I unwittingly commit actual violence by forcing a new gender identity on it?

Well Elsa (who is apparently a lesbian, if you think that the definition of lesbian is any women that doesn't show overt interest in men )is currently stuck head first in a flower bed. So maybe I have a homophobe on my hands too - saints preserve us!

I don't really recall playing with dolls ever... but that was probably because I didn't have any. Most of my childhood was spent reciting birthdays and writing lists of various things in my notebooks
