Can you believe this? From the bright Green bright-green.org/2016/12/31/2016-equality-triumphs/

Sex and gender

This year possessing a uterus became a little less deadly as a report revealed that the number of deaths related to pregnancy and childbirth has dropped by 44% since 1990, owing to progress in maternal healthcare worldwide. This would perhaps be one of the best pieces of news this year, if the same report did not also reveal that the distance between healthcare levels of the lowest and highest resourced countries had increased, contributing to global inequality.

Those with vaginas are also less likely to be illiterate than in previous years, as the number of those who the World Economic Forum identified as female who received some form of formal education increased by 5% in the previous ten years. UNESCO have even estimated that the gender gap in education will be closed by 2027, which is a comforting thought after the difficult year we have all faced.

The term is Women!

Fuckers

My comment (take a gander at how controversial it is!!) is still awaiting moderation.

I was a member of the greens until the "non-men" palaver btw. I even let it go that I was blocked from the LGBTQIZZZ twitter without fighting (I never attacked anyone leading to that either, it was purely for expressing feminist views that were apparently incompatible)

beyond that is the first comment out of the two, that I just read in the link. So what we're the other comments? If they have replaced one with yours.

BeyondCanSeeTheEmperorsBellend · 25/01/2017 14:20

No mine hasn't gone through yet, it's only showing to me as I made it (and is why I screenshot) or has it gone through since I posted here, which would be very weird?!

This is the first comment from link.

Oh and BTW excellent comment.

BeyondCanSeeTheEmperorsBellend · 25/01/2017 15:10

Ah I see now. I can't take credit for that - if you look at my screenshot, mine is the "yep, this" underneath. So basically all I did was agree with a (brilliant I agree) pre-moderated and published post, yet my post still hasn't gone through

Hi everyone this is my first posting.
Thanks very much for accepting my membership.
Re The Greens , I used to be an active member even doing door to door delivering Green leaflets and knocking on doors to speak to the public.
At one point I was 100% loyal Green.
I find this hard to say but I left The Green Party in protest over what I experienced as man hating Radical Feminist views.
I found the Green women and some men too verging on open man hating and even going as far as inventing stories about men which I personally knew not to be true.
I know this is a controversial subject and I hope I have not upset anyone by sharing my views and my experience.

BeyondCanSeeTheEmperorsBellend · 25/01/2017 17:07

Was it a while ago that you left? There are many ways I'd describe green women, but radical feminist isn't one of them. Or are you using radical as in "the extreme" rather than referring to the particular feminist approach?

I'm gonna assume from the man-hating prefix that you don't mean bodacious.

MsUnderstanding · 25/01/2017 17:07

Man hating rad fem views? Like what ?

VestalVirgin · 25/01/2017 18:21

Well, to be fair, women who have lost their uterus to cancer or the like, do not usually die in pregnancy or childbirth, so that one is at least factually correct, though I am sure no infertile woman would have complained if they had simply written "woman".

The second one is insulting. They could just have written "cunts", it would not have made much of a difference.

VestalVirgin · 25/01/2017 18:27

Man hating rad fem views? Like what ?

Probably pointing out that men are much more likely to be violent than women.
Or saying that men's "reproductive rights" are adequately covered with the right to use a condom.

I do not think one will find any real rad fems in the green party - not nowadays, at least. More likely than not, they've been kicked out for "transphobia".

BeyondCanSeeTheEmperorsBellend · 27/01/2017 13:57

I hate it when people don't come back :(

ChocChocPorridge · 27/01/2017 14:16

"Meanwhile in Canada, the Ontario government have pledged a concrete plan to combat violence against indigenous women in the form of $100 million funding, " This funding is transphobic and should be withdrawn. Or rephrased to "people with vaginas", if that is who they want to help. Helping only people with vaginas is sexist as well though. Better to give the money to people with penises, who are in greater need anyway.

Nonononono Queen, you're still wrong - as we know following the marches, only white women have vaginas, therefore it's perfectly fine to say indigenous women - just as long as you don't mention who it is that is perpetuating the violence against them.

BeyondCanSeeTheEmperorsBellend · 27/01/2017 14:22

Very very weirdly (and sort of related) the former Canadian Green leader followed me on twitter today?!

QueenOfTheSardines · 28/01/2017 14:01

chocchoc yes what is that about? This idea that issues that affect women eg sexual assault, abortion only apply to white women is very very weird. I think the people who don't like women are doing a (sadly quite successful) job of splitting women as a cohesive group with shared issues.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 28/01/2017 15:16

That's how it reads, doesn't it, Queen? It's all "vagina owners" until it comes to indigenous vagina owners. They get to be women. Do you think perhaps that whoever composed this ghastly bit of text was happy to refer to women as body parts until it came to indigenous women when the writer, fearful of seeming racist, decided it was disrespectful to call them vaginas cunts/pussies. Shame it didn't occur to them that referring to anyone as a body part is disrespectful, dehumanising and astonishingly offensive.
