Just read this article that says that Theresa May is not impressed with the mansplaining she has come across from a few Whitehall mandarins Grin

I feel obliged to point out also as a Scot, that Nicola Sturgeon isn't really left wing. She and her party made a massive lurch to the left fairly recently in (my opinion) a cynical manoeuvre to win over the scottish electorate by stealing the ground labour used to be on. It wasn't that long ago Alex Salmond was on the radio banging on about what a "light touch" an independent Scotland would be.

I don't know about Alex Salmond. But I don't see any politician besides Nicola Sturgeon standing up for the rights of women from NI. Why should they not have the same rights as the rest of the UK? Otherwise what is the point of the united state?

growapear · 22/11/2016 08:18

I agree with you Tigers - on that subject she is right. I am still cynical about her though.

Ruth Davidson? I don't know as much about her as I'd like, but I'd rather her than quite a few of the current crop (of all parties, but especially Tories).

Apparently Phillip Davies has said that men are in danger of losing their voice. Must be shit for him, filibustering bills to help tenants, hospital workers and visitors and teaching CPR in schools in that majority male workspace he's in. My heart actually bleeds.

The point is YonicProbe Labour have never elected a female leader. They have had interim female leaders, but the party / unions have never voted a woman into the leader's job. It's about time they did.

OlennasWimple · 22/11/2016 16:23

Agree DrDre - and it feels like they are further from that point than they have been for a long time

I do agree, DrDre.

Corbyn seems dug in for the long haul, though.
