The article linked in the OP was published 16 months ago and, unfortunately, I think that its "domestic violence is gendered" message doesn't yet appear to have persuaded enough senior politicians to do much more about fixing the problem of violence against women.
I hope the ONS have improved their domestic abuse and violence data gathering and analysis methods to fix the shortcomings identified by Professor Sylvia Walby that are mentioned in the article.
I think the first set of statistics following the introduction of the law against coercion and control could be due to be published about now. I wonder what impact this law change may have on the statistics.
