I'm not going to link to the Daily Mail but google if you want. His name is Dennis Parsons. He compares people being coerced by their families into accountancy with women being coerced into prostitution.

Weak response from Tim Farron.

It seems every party hates women. Every single party.

This business about it being "unsavoury" I mean what on earth.

It is dangerous. Prostitutes around the world and in the UK are murdered at a higher rate than the general population and it is hardly uncommon for them to be raped / beaten. Then there's STDs. Then there's potential for non deliberate physical damage and there's ample evidence that many working as prostitutes / who have left suffer psychological problems including PTSD.

If it's a job like accountancy then what about health and safety? It's just not doable. This is why the pimp lobby push for decriminalisation rather then legalisation as if it were legal and under all the same rules as other jobs it wouldn't be possible to do it in any way that would keep the "customers" happy. And how would the risk of violence be mitigated? Chaperones?

It's all nonsense and his "explanation" was shit.

Bottom line is that many men have absolutely no frame of reference to understand the risks and no interest in trying to imagine what that would be like. They only see it from the punter side, the person who is doing the penetrating.
