Lego Land - 'Skirts of appropriate length'

I've been checking out the T&Cs of Legoland and apparently they have a dress code.

"LEGOLAND Windsor is a family destination and we require that you wear appropriate clothing whilst in the Park. Shirts, skirts of appropriate length or trousers and shoes must be worn at all times. Any guest deemed by Park Management to be wearing inappropriate clothing may be asked to change clothes or leave the Park."

I wonder what they consider 'appropriate'. Are short shorts OK?

It's not very specific....I think they should be more specific and say what the appropriate skirt length is. After all, what's appropriate for one person isn't appropriate for someone else...

they do let people wear swimwear in one of the attractions - in fact you have to if you want to go in it. I wonder if it is cordoned off in an appropriate way or if they police the length of swimming trunks.

So swimwear is allowed? Huh. Perhaps they had an incident with a scotsman whose kilt had shrunken in the washing machine and didn't cover his penis.

I mean, other than genitals showing because of too short skirts + no underwear, there's no reason any skirt at all would be less decent than swimwear, is there?

They have probably had to introduce it because people have gone shoeless and hurt feet, gone half naked and left sweat on plastic ride seat etc

Since the choices are a skirt of appropriate length or trousers, are shorts banned altogether?

They are clearly just covering their asses (if you'll pardon the pun). If some one is dressed inappropriately and they are receiving complaints, they can ask the offender to leave and point to the clause in the T&C if they object.

It's not very specific, is it? How short is too short? Or is it an issue if skirts are too.long, in case a long skirt gets caught on something?

And shorts. Are we to assume that hot pant type shorts, or shorts of similar lengths are allowed?

I can see the point about shoes though, I can imagine that no footwear has health and safety implications they'd prefer to avoid. Although it's very unusual to see people wandering about in public with bare feet outside of beaches and water parks.

Probably to stop people dressing like this...

Shorts of any length would obviously be perfectly fine, they're not going to flash your bits at an audience as you climb in and out of rides.

MsAdorabelle you clearly haven't been subjected to the kind of shorts we see around here, where you can virtually see the fallopian tubes of the wearer. Like a kind of denim g-string, if you will.
