stupid newcomer here....( not a troll, not a bloke)

the quote above is from my father in law.

I actually don't have an answer. Certainly as a young woman I "dressed like that" because I wanted to be desired. Now I withdraw my eyes from beautiful young girls' boobs when they sit down next to me on the train.... and I'd find them very distracting if meeting professionally... And would probably take the individual less seriously

does anyone have the patience to explain a feminist take on this? Please don't slam me I am genuinely confused.

Saying that women are "asking to be looked it because of how they dress" is often just an excuse to make it okay to stare at women. I have large breasts and as a teenager I was very self conscious of my breasts and I'd always wear loose clothes to try to hide them. I finally learnt to embrace my body (in my 20's) and wear whatever I want, fitted clothes, tucked in shirts etc. Do men look at my body? Yes. I don't like it when their eyes constantly rest on my breasts. They might even think I'm wearing a push up bra to attract attention. No, I'm not. That's just my body. I know a woman who has naturally full lips and men always assume she got lip fillers. People need to stop assuming that women are always dressing to attract attention.
