That's not an ad hominem. I'm saying she didn't do her research and her conclusions are specious. Ad hominem would have been calling her thick. Which I didn't.

No, it's a very thick distinction actually, but err, thanks anyway.

An ad hominen attack while debating is one that doesn't address the subject at hand at all, it focuses only on the person concerned and their attributes/deficiencies/morals, while saying nothing about the actual topic. To say someone is doing it is to say that they're engaging in debate in bad faith, so really you ought to be more particular about using it.

She makes many valid points, particularly relating to DV.

Just to let you know I've reported grumpyuncleR's post as it is an image of a severely battered woman.

It may have been posted in good faith but I don't think it's appropriate without any warning as to its contents.

It reads as spoof " and I looked to that real feminist icon Margaret Thatcher as objective proof"

And why did Thatcher have to bulldoze all that was foolish to stand in her way? oh we are told it was sheer bloody mindedness. But if we had/and we have equality in terms of class and gender why do we need this credential.

It is like reading reality turned on its head. I don't have time to read all of it, I have to devote the rest of the day to "thinking" I have equality.
