Anyone enjoy watching this? Just a little gripe. Today was the final stage in Paris & was preceded by a women's race over the final circuit. Great for women's cycling. However, there were several crashes due to the treacherous conditions in very heavy rain. Consequently, the course was altered & those parts of the course were missed out for the men! It felt a bit like the women were testing the course out before the men came along!

I get the point about the GC system. What would happen if every Tour de France team had to employ, say, a mandatory number of women? Would that be a solution?

I agree cool, maybe pampered was the wrong word. Looked after is prob better.

Shove the problem I see with that is I think the women would just be used as "cannon fodder", so wouldn't really raise the profile of women. Look at geraint Thomas from Sky, commonwealth gold medalist from the last games, he gets used to pull froome up a mountain and protect him. I'm not sure how I feel about a quota system. Seems to have caused massive resentment in South Africa.
