Coworker taking feminism back 100 years

A coworker of mine is using her body to get where she wants and has qualms about it. She has quickly received two promotions and I fear they have been gained by inappropriate means. She wears these tight pants where you can see the outline of her labia. I don't know how to address this or knock some sense into her without coming off as jealous or threatened. It's like, cover your tits and use your brain even if it means struggling like the rest of us. Just because you have a fancy vergina doesn't mean you can use it to get ahead of the rest of us who prefer to keep our legs closed.

I'm not sure Penguins, I don't know much about US holidays, that would explain a lot though if it is.

PenguinsandtheTantrumofDoom · 25/05/2015 15:03

Just checked and yes. I used to work with US companies a lot and liked it when holidays matched up. Smile

YonicScrewdriver · 25/05/2015 15:06

Not right now though there's some in the fridge for later when the kids are asleep!

TheVermiciousKnid · 25/05/2015 15:06

It's dull and cold here and you're being mean, Yonic. Sad In fact, I think you may just have taken feminism back at least 200 years.

YonicScrewdriver · 25/05/2015 15:08

Sorry Wink

TheVermiciousKnid · 25/05/2015 15:08

Hmpf.

SilverBirch2015 · 25/05/2015 15:14

Even the trolls are more amusing on the Feminism threads

IonaMumsnet · 25/05/2015 15:16

Herler again, folks. Thanks for all your reports. That did indeed appear to be the same poster back again. Which we felt was labia-ing the point somewhat . We've done the door thing again.

TheVermiciousKnid · 25/05/2015 15:18

Herrah!

shaska · 25/05/2015 15:45

An inferior iteration, lacking in nuance. And two vaginas is a bridge too far, even spelt correctly. 4/10

YonicScrewdriver · 25/05/2015 15:46

Bonjer ma chere Iona et merci!

YonicScrewdriver · 25/05/2015 15:48

"two vaginas is a bridge too far,"

I'm gerting that on a t shert!

TheVermiciousKnid · 25/05/2015 15:49

I serspect that perticular poster is serffering frem a serious case of vergina ernvy. Sad

shaska · 25/05/2015 15:49

A she-shert!

PenguinsandtheTantrumofDoom · 25/05/2015 16:26

And needs some serious anatomy lessons. There is a very clear difference between vagina, vulva and labia. They are not interchangeable terms.

FancyFeast42 · 25/05/2015 16:56

Er lerd this thread is something else!

shaska · 25/05/2015 17:01

Penguins I usually give (and, embarrassingly, often expect) a pass for vagina used to mean 'general female bits' as I feel like it's semi common usage. On the other hand if someone is talking specifically or means one of the separate parts and uses the wrong word, no. Sometimes I'm tempted to start referring to dicks as balls and see how far I get.

PenguinsandtheTantrumofDoom · 25/05/2015 17:29

I agree Smile. Let's all try it.

YonicScrewdriver · 25/05/2015 17:50

I've opened my Wine now

CycleChic · 25/05/2015 19:37

Now yer just shering off, Yonic

YonicScrewdriver · 25/05/2015 19:50

Strangely, DD has recently picked up the whole 'er mer Gerd' thing from the internet and has been saying 'dernersaur' and 'Dercter Wher' with gusto, so this thread is great timing.

I should add that she's 13 and already quite the little feminist so she isn't the OP (ErP?) here Grin

" I think she is sleeping her way to the top" - as long as she's not sleeping her way to the bottom!
