Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

Someone just shared this on my timeline. Just don't even know where to start with it <picture included, grim but not graphic>

I know I shouldn't share it further, but I am just sat here Shock and Angry and just don't even know where to begin with it all. A woman I went to uni with has just shared this all 'lol'.

The sexualisation of dummies and lollies, and children, the idea that girls/women are in training for sucking dicks and the inevitability of it, the creepy coercive overtone with the 'shh...its ok'.

Genuinely making me feel a bit grim. Have reported to FB, though don't expect anything to be done.

The person concerned has two small children, both recently pictures with dummies. I just don't understand how anyone could look at that and think 'lol'.

It doesn't apply to boys at all.

It really feeds male entitlement to sex doesn't it? As you said in the OP, grim stuff.

queensansastark · 12/05/2015 13:01

You should shame her by sending a link to this thread under her FB comments.

FatSwan · 12/05/2015 13:04

That's absolutely disgusting.

I'd tell them so too.

INickedAName · 12/05/2015 13:07

I don't think I know a word strong enough for how stomach churningly vile that is.

The idea that a small child being given a dummy for comfort is prep for them sucking dicks in later life. Yak yak yak.

And then at the other end, the idea of a man saying "shhhh it's ok" while popping himself in their mouth. Yak yak yak.

I'm not on fb, but I'd have to delete someone who thought this funny, I dont think I could carry on being their friend in rl.

Meandyouandyouandme · 12/05/2015 13:09

I suppose I thought because the picture was blue it could be ambiguous, though obviously, I was clutching at straws Confused

Wadingthroughsoup · 12/05/2015 13:11

Urgh, that's utterly revolting. :(

jigglywiggly · 12/05/2015 13:13

That is foul, and I would have left a very harsh comment underneath. I hope I do see it on fb do I can tell the poster exactly what I think.

paxtecum · 12/05/2015 13:27

That is very sickening.

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 12/05/2015 13:29

You can go to it through her page if you are friends with her. Disgusting, stupid woman.

YonicScrewdriver · 12/05/2015 13:34

Ugh.

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 12/05/2015 13:39

Just sicked in my mouth a bit.

Grim.

GrouchyKiwi · 12/05/2015 13:40

That's awful. I'd be unfriending too.

EduCated · 12/05/2015 13:56

Wow. Just had a notification to say FB have removed it. Am actually surprised Hmm

Good!

PuffinsAreFictitious · 12/05/2015 16:44

Not sure it does apply to boys as well as girls. Not sure boys are expected to suck cock in the same way as girls are.

Obviously.

Really shouldn't try and snatch seconds when at work to post, because it makes me look like an idiot. Blush

However, the more I think about it, the less it seems to be aimed at boys at all.

Glad it's been deleted though, enough people must have complained about it, they only ever delete if a number of people report, no matter what the content.
