Conservative party literature addressed only to husband

Little leaflet arrived today, husband's name only. Presumably this is because he is Head of the Household of A Hardworking Family. Just us? And WTAF?

Never mind my three degrees in Politics, eh? I don't want a separate leaflet addressed to me or anything, but why not both names, 'to the household' or just not addressed like the other parties? It was in a clump of mail shot stuff anyway.

This slightly reminds me of the time the Tory and Ukip councillors both turned away from me as I arrived at the polling station (pushing DD in a pram). Had been greeting everyone else as I walked up.

Rather than repeat it here, can I just point anyone interested in the strategy behind the use of the free post in elections to my post on this thread.

I should probably add that anything other than the freepost delivery is either hand delivered by volunteers, or posted if the candidates have allowed for postage in their election expenses. Things with stamps are likely to be really targeted because postage is a bit of a waste of expenses and the legal maximum per candidate is lower than you might think.

There are 7 flats at my address. The Lib Dem candidate sent something to all of the women a few weeks ago and all of the men got a different one the other day.

I can't remember which party it was but a month or so back one of the candidates sent one focusing on schools to all the young couples and different ones to everyone else a few days later.
