What isn't a feminist issue?

Inspired a bit by another thread but it seems like a frequent occurence that non feminists say that feminists say everything is a feminist issue.

Since I 'took the red pill'/whatever I do see everything as a feminist issue so I'm perplexed at what these non-feminist issues are?

It seems to me that one of the first things you realise as a feminist is how all pervasive patriarchy is.

I don't think anything's exempt from it.

You're wrong about the eggs - apart from the travesty of a 5 egg carton, I think they taste better..

Also, it seems yet another situation where I'm apparently a man - I love the smell of coal tar soap (have a stash in the bottom bathroom draw so I don't ever run out), and I have been known to purposefully leave a towel out of the tumble dryer so it gets that pleasing line-dried crisp feeling.

Baths aren't half so nice when the moment the tap starts running there are suddenly two young boys in the bathroom ripping their clothes off, DP only escapes it because he's so tall that he completely fills the bath so they can't have any fun if he's there too.

God, I hate the idea of "pampering". Not just that we're expected to spend our time and money painting our nails and shit like that, but that we're expected to somehow be grateful for it. What a load of bollocks.

InAndOfMyself · 18/04/2015 20:38

I'm reading this thread from the bath, does that make me a good or bad feminist?

Linguini · 18/04/2015 20:38

Cream eggs now tasting better? Sorry. No way are you a proper feminist Chunky Pickle. Nu huh.

Anyone had Cadbury's chocolate fingers since the buyout? They are rank.

Chocolate fingers are a feminist issue. No pun actually either but they are ladylike and small for all our calorie counting.

Linguini · 18/04/2015 20:39

I use Pampers nappies on my baby. The word Pampered has changed forever to me!

ChopperGordino · 18/04/2015 20:45

InAndOfMyself are you pampering yourself?

(Actually, don't answer that Grin)

lucycant · 18/04/2015 20:50

I am watching Shameless USA. That clearly is a feminist issue.

InAndOfMyself · 18/04/2015 21:01

Chopper I think I've failed Pampering 101, my toes are wrinkly. I think I'll wander off to watch Banished now.

maliaki · 18/04/2015 21:39

ChunkyPickle Nope no way, they're much smaller too Shock Such a travesty.

drinkscabinet · 18/04/2015 22:39

Chocolste is a feminist issue, why aren't we allowed to eat Yorkies? Flakes are hideous flaky things, why would I want to eat that?

I give up. Everything is a feminist issue.

SeraOfeliaFalfurrias · 18/04/2015 23:46

Anyone who thinks Candy Crush isn't a feminist issue hasn't been following GamerGate.

Is the random disappearance of socks in the wash a feminist issue? I mean, yes, it's more likely that women are doing said laundry and thus being the first to discover the missing socks, but I think both men and women suffer equally from being the owners of sad single socks.

What about bananas? Ah wait, the whole "women shouldn't eat phallic fruit on public" thing...

reni1 · 18/04/2015 23:47

Snow. Everybody is dressed like the Michelin Man and goes down the slopes like Rambo on coke.

Sparklingbrook · 18/04/2015 23:49

I have Feminism topic hidden but this appeared in most active and I was curious. Blush

Looks like everything is a feminist issue to me. Grin

reni1 · 18/04/2015 23:50

Missing socks ARE a feminist issue. Men's multipack socks are 5x the same and can mix and match, women's are 5 shades.
