Fascinating talk about unconscious bias at work

It's quite long, but really got me thinking about a few things. Some of the examples cited show how a few simple messages can really change our unconscious biases.

They're very into unconscious bias at work at the moment, although I am too lowly to have been on the training for it, which I don't entirely agree with, as a lot of bias is down on the floor, but I suppose they have to start somewhere. (I did hassle my director about it a lot though. In fact, he might be receiving a new link when I've watched it.)

Sounds very interesting but can't see any examples on the link?

It's an hour long link.

Your data suggest little to no difference in automatic associations of career and MALE with family and FEMALE Preen!

Or should I be? I'm confused now!

Little to no preference for race, strong for preferring UK over US. Interesting.

Interesting synopsis before starting the tests of what the tests often show.

(Don't have Flash so can't do the test, but I'm critiquing anyway Wink)

Not sure about unconscious but I experience a bit of very conscious sexism at work the other day.

I was planning on sending a junior female colleague to a client's premises to oversee a simple task. Went to clear it with the boss and he said "You can't send her, she's a girl!" Shock

I was a bit shocked and just said "We're not sexist here".
