What do people think of these photos?

This link of a man's photos of his toddler daughter popped up on my facebook. Lots of people think the photos are pornographic apparently which I think is hokum.

And yet I feel uncomfortable on her behalf. I don't like the thought that her body is being displayed for thousands of people who don't know her and don't care about her.

I can't quite articulate why. He has a son too apparently but those images aren't in the article (if he's taken any).

Would be interested in your views. I'm struggling to articulate what my issue is but I think she's being exploited.

I don't think any of them are remotely pornographic, most of them are beautiful, and I don't think there's anything wrong with taking any of them. If they were of my DD I'd be fine with close friends and immediate family seeing them, but I wouldn't want them published because I think the daughter has some reasonable expectation of privacy.

So I think his judgment is questionable, but not so far outside the bounds of acceptable as to garner the level of abuse he's received.

I think they are lovely photos, esprcially the one of her sitting on the potty or the one of her jumping on the bed. There are these moments of childhood that disappear so quickly and it's lovely to have the photos to remind you. As an artist he will respond to the things around him, just like all artists do. I'm not sure it's any more exploitative than a writer using a local story they have heard and incorporating it in a book.

But I put photos of my kids online on flickr all the time so maybe I'm biased. The family is widespread and love seeing the kids and I can't really get bothered about a putative paedophile finding images of them online.
