No salient arguments so far rape victims are getting clobbered. They need a FWR Mner on there

Argh the women on this panel aren't shining with glory tonight.

DebrisSlide · 06/02/2014 23:20

We're all equal now, though, innit?

EEatingSoupForLunch · 06/02/2014 23:21

Sadly Tabard there are plenty of women joining in the fight to reverse advantages hard won, as the deeply depressing thread on declaring an intention to TTC to potential employers, and consequent remarks on selfish women who take their legal entitlement amply demonstrate Sad

DebrisSlide · 06/02/2014 23:23

Tbh, I don't really care about the women on the panel. The ones I want to hear never get a platform, anyway. It doesn't matter how articulate you are, they only want yes-women or Katie Hopkins.

Rapists don't listen to them anyway. They just might, however, find yet another reason to continue seeing that they have a green light to continue their rapey ways if they know they have other men fighting their corner.

RiaOverTheRainbow · 06/02/2014 23:26

There are times I think separatists have the right idea Angry

scallopsrgreat · 06/02/2014 23:28

Didn't watch it. Saw it on Twitter though. I always watch Question Time through the filter of Twitter . Saves on the blood pressure

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

scallopsrgreat · 06/02/2014 23:30

I don't think it's a coincidence though that it seems to be only men who have "confusion around sexual etiquette" or problems with consent.

Sense of entitlement...

NiceTabard · 06/02/2014 23:31

Can;t have quotas because you'd never have a quote for gay people or asian people.

yes because in UK society women are 10% or less of the population.

Oooh here we go

it discriminates against men to have all women shortlists

OP posts:
NiceTabard · 06/02/2014 23:34

Yes tabard, he really does hate women. A true misogynist.

Jinsei · 06/02/2014 23:37

And yes, Tessa was disappointingly crap.

SauceForTheGander · 06/02/2014 23:38

He's a cock

scallopsrgreat · 06/02/2014 23:40

Dimbleby was quite dismissive of her though. In that white males stick together type of way.

David Starkey is an arse. I'm too apoplectic to string anything more coherent together.

NiceTabard · 06/02/2014 23:43

just

it's fine. it's OK.

we just need to keep at it.

OP posts:
Sixweekstowait · 06/02/2014 23:44

Yy apoplectic is the word - perhaps the worst qt I have ever heard and that's saying something

Theoldhag · 06/02/2014 23:47

WTF and shakes head

It is like living in an out of phase parallel dimension sometimes Angry

Sixweekstowait · 06/02/2014 23:48

Now listening to 5 live follow up programme - glutton for punishment!

DebrisSlide · 06/02/2014 23:51

That's what the average jury thinks, though, isn't it?

And that's why all of those lurking on these boards really need to get out there and get their voice heard, even if it's just on an AIBU thread. We cannot let the Starkeys of this world set the tone for OUR justice system or, indeed, our society. Because it's ours too.

It's our world, just as much as the middle-aged white man.

scallopsrgreat · 06/02/2014 23:52

It was all about imaginary discrimination against men. White men at that.

No privilege there at all. None.

scallopsrgreat · 06/02/2014 23:54

Well said Debris.

SauceForTheGander · 06/02/2014 23:54

Yeah I think that every time I look at the House of Commons. Those poor white men - so under represented

NiceTabard · 07/02/2014 00:15

Yeah it's shocking.

Everyone who isn't a white man needs to work hard to correct this injustice.
