Personally I prefer clothes to say nothing at all, but a lot of cheap children stuff does. DDs old supermarket night shirts had all sorts of fairy/shopping twaddle on them. Her M&S one (which cost more than two supermarket ones) just has a picture of a bear.
This the young girls most indeed of escaping this kind of stereo typing, are the ones most likely to wear it.
