Not sure if this is best place to pass this on but if anyone wants to sign, it's here.

I think personally they are a brilliant idea. My daughter always gets rubbish toys eg. Plane, silly gave or rubbish puzzle and since I have been able to buy her girls ones, she actually play with the toy. Pony etc

WoTmania · 11/11/2013 15:39

thanks errol. singed.

NumTumRedRum · 11/11/2013 15:50

I didn't know boys couldn't play with ponies. Hmm

5madthings · 11/11/2013 15:51

Great idea, I will sign, fucking hate the gendered marketing of children's tosya dn the reinforcing of outdated gender stereotypes to children.

MoldieOldNaiceHam · 11/11/2013 15:53

Having watch some poor woman trying to direct her colour blind child to the blue eggs with the 'making things inside' I think it's a stupid reason for that alone.

Poor colour blind kid :(

5madthings · 11/11/2013 15:55

Signed and shared.

HoneyDragon · 11/11/2013 15:57

Aren't they done with now anyway? I thought they were limited edition?

wheretoyougonow · 11/11/2013 16:01

Of all the things I worry about in the world, pink and blue eggs are not one of them.

ilovemybabies123 · 11/11/2013 16:05

I'm not saying that...if a boy wants to play with ponies, crack on but my daughter doesn't want to play with planes and this gives me some idea of what's inside so the toy isnt useless as the tint bit of chicolate and a plastic shell arent worth 80p with a useless toy (!!!!) and yes, they were limited edition and are no longer selling them

DziezkoDisco · 11/11/2013 16:08

Why your daughter would want a crap pony any more than a crap plane is beyond me.

ilovemybabies123 · 11/11/2013 16:24

Because she likes ponies...

ilovemybabies123 · 11/11/2013 16:26

You don't know my daughter so you have no idea what she would like to play with

BoosterBondageSapphire · 11/11/2013 16:44

Thanks Errol, signed.

DS is 9 and has been enjoying the reasonably gender neutral toys since he was young, such a shame its stereotypical pink and blue crap now. Even DS thinks its a stupid idea, its supposed to be a surprise!

TheArticFunky · 11/11/2013 17:14

I thought they were a crap idea until ds put me right. Apparently the neutral ones contained little hair slides and other girly things according to ds. They should keep selling the neutral ones for those that like a surprise. It's all plastic tat at the end of the day.

CaptChaos · 12/11/2013 08:32

Since when did Kinder eggs have crap stuff like hair slides in them? They always used to have stuff you had to build or a figurine. It is all plastic tat at the end of the day, I agree, but to have it gendered plastic tat is a step too far imo.

Signed, thanks Errol

I think its all OTT ... If you read the effin material on the box or on the display it says that 1 in 3 can be a princess ( in a box of 3) in the other eggs there are NON gendered stuff . So like a spinning thing ( green) a finger painting thing ( yellow or blue) an animal - we have had a seal , a lion and a hippo all with facts about its size weight and habitat. Yes I choose the pink ones for my dd2 as she wants a princess. DD1 wanted a smurf one and she got a male smurf . The Christmas ones will be out soon I expect, do you want them to remove the Christmas design off the packets as well ??

Rosa · 12/11/2013 08:40

Never seen a hair slide in a Kinder egg ... Always something to build , do or recently these animals that you have to put 2 or 3 bits together.

toffeesponge · 12/11/2013 08:44

They aren't something I buy very often at all but I hate all this pink for girls, blue for boys crap. Kids are kids Toys are toys. DS1 loved his buggy and doll. DS2 loves his teddies. DD wouldn't be seen dead with a doll. Let them just be.

whatdoesittake48 · 12/11/2013 20:42

One of the things I loved about giving my kids kinder eggs was the element of having to do "the work" to get the toy - it was always a disappointment when the toy was ready-formed. Do girls still get decent stuff to make, or is that too much for their precious little girly minds...
