Blog - Leading The Men Back To The Women

An interesting blog by a man, some point I agree with, many I don't, especially the bit about "melting back into femininity".

But I certainly agree about women losing trust in men.

Any thoughts?

Certainly is implied with the falling birth rates in first world countries that we no longer trust men and men are no longer trusting us. Which in a lot of ways is going fun.

Or perhaps men and women no longer see having children as inevitable. In the developed countries, we don't have to depend on children to look after us in our old age. Given the rate of population growth and scarcity of resources, perhaps a slowing birthrate is a good thing.

Am I alone in finding that utterly nauseating?

Sparklyboots · 05/11/2013 13:54

Not alone grimble . The comments made me weep.

'Am I alone in finding that utterly nauseating?'

No. It was bollocks.

URRRRGHHHHHH what a load of tripe..

Women have become masculinsed (err.. is that a word), which he defines as leadership and protection through service and wisdom (I presume properties that he feels we shouldn't have?), and in order for us to feminise again he wants to find the 'maleness within maleness'.

I don't think I'd melt into femininity if he tried his uber-male for 20 minutes experiment on me, although if it was at a party I certainly would consider disappearing off to the kitchen for a stiff drink.

I don't know what he means by maleness. He says that men have been dicking about trashing the planet and seeking profit, which goes against the maleness women want from them. But isn't that typically male behaviour? I want to know what he thinks men should be like. What they should do, how they should behave, what jobs they should have, what exactly they do in the 20 min experiment.

I don't like the idea of being expected to melt into femininity because I think that sounds like essentialist guff closely related to the protection racket that is supposed to keep women materially dependent on men, and penalises women for being assertive, original, or even just too big. On the other hand I am interested to hear about men learning not to be dickheads and to be better partners. Maybe we could all work on not being dickheads and being better partners, but I know a lot of relationships where the women work a lot harder at it than the men.

I really don't understand what it is about. But I find it hilarious that it is called 'the Order of the Sacred Woodsman.'
