Is it just me? There was another one the other night. Rapist who functions apparently 'normally' by day, goes out raping and murdering women at night. Is it necessary to be so graphic? Does it have entertainment/other value? Does it not scare the bejeesus out of those of us who live on our own? Does it in some way, re-inforce the idea that women are vulnerable, and need a (male) protector living with us to be safe?. Am I overthinking this? Thoughts please...

I know what you are meaning Doctrine-but tbh the filming imo is trying to convey the 'drivers' of the serial killer and what makes him do what he does... If it shows her writhing around in distress - to me it's a wholly and frightening realism of what rl can be like...

Sveltana - agree with ur point re Luther episode maybe- ( didn't see it) but The Fall' ...Come on.. We need some strong British crime dramas ...and this was def one of them

Yes, but it's a bit of a coincidence if it's always semi-balletic writhing in skimpy clothing vs tears and snot and a pair of jeans, say.
