I think it's important that the buyers' choices in prostitution are highlighted and shared. This project was linked to on FB. Thoughts? I think it's a great idea.

anyfucker it is rude. Fair enough about asking how I would feel about my children if they entered into prostitution presumably when older.
However talking about mys 2yo 'tender young sphincter' is very rude.

flora I voted labour, I want out of the EU and immigration controlled... Does that help.

AnyFucker · 08/05/2013 18:23

arse don't all young people first going into prostitution have "tender young sphincters" ?

do you think they stay that way for very long ?

have you read about the long term physical consequences for women and men who have to acquiesce ( I don't use the word "consent" in this context) to increasingly damaging practices, risks of STI, pregnancies, repeated terminations etc etc

why is ok for someone else's child to be subjected to that ?

why not your child...if all is so fine and dandy out there ?

AnyFucker · 08/05/2013 18:26

Deary me, arse if you are going to enter into a debate about prostitution your impression of a cringing precious little flower is rather disingenuous

know your subject, eh

denial of the realities will win you no arguments

arsenaltilidie · 08/05/2013 18:27

I will look at it when I have time.

AnyFucker · 08/05/2013 18:31

It might have been better to do your research first mate

You might have looked a bit less like a tit with romantic notions of "tarts with hearts" and not swallowed the myth of the "secret diary of the callgirl"

caramelwaffle · 08/05/2013 18:33

There is an advert running down the side of the page (The Railway Children/Aviva - previous webchat with Mumsnet)

This thread has made me want to encourage people to donate to the charity: Young adults and children are targeted at transport hubs and coerced in to prostitution.

arsenaltilidie · 08/05/2013 18:37

AF believe me I have read a lot.
I said will look into that paper when i have proper time.

But truth of the matter is people enter into prostitution willingly.
Especially in this country.

FloraFox · 08/05/2013 18:38

But truth of the matter is people enter into prostitution willingly

proof?

AnyFucker · 08/05/2013 18:44

Your truth ?

A convenient one, for sure

I am sure some do enter willingly, but how does a punter know which ones ? Because she says so ? Overlooking the fact that it is impossible to know who is/isn't doing this "willingly" is the crux of the matter.

Did you realise that eastern European are trafficked into the UK, purely for the sex industry ? Many of these girls are under age. The punters don't care about that either. Perhaps you don't, too.

eastern European girls

AnyFucker · 08/05/2013 18:45

FD, men who use prostitutes are fucking arseholes

GoblinGranny · 08/05/2013 19:23

That's an enormous generalisatian FeministDragon.

FeministDragon · 08/05/2013 19:26

It's probably not far from the truth.

AnyFucker · 08/05/2013 19:34

It's not my truth, FD

FloraFox · 08/05/2013 19:37

It's not my truth either. Why have you used LRD's username?

GoblinGranny · 08/05/2013 19:50

The other thread has been deleted with the MN message
'The OP was not all that we might hope for.'

As I said on the deleted thread, it couldn't possibly be LRD unless she'd survived a zombie attack and lost half her brain.

arsenaltilidie · 08/05/2013 20:08

AF I have read the summary, but its funny how a EU wide research found 28 victims of trafficking. Yes that is 28 too many!!

My proof that coerced sex work is very very rare is over 10000 prostitutes were interviewed and only 164 were found MAY HAVE been trafficked. 15 were arrested, but were charged with other offences, mainly illegal migrant worker trafficking.
UK Pentameter 2 statistics

Also migrant sex workers read especially page 32.

Hence the fact of the matter is most prostitutes work and continue to work in the industry willingly.

My argument in case you forgot is BOTH prostitutes and men that visit them are as bad as each other.

TheDoctrineOfSnatch · 08/05/2013 20:12

Hi arsenal

Do you think there are any other problems regarding the background of people entering prostitution eg substance abuse, physical/sexual abuse etc?

AnyFucker · 08/05/2013 20:13

Most doesn't cut it

Don't you understand that ? One is one too many. Because that one could be the girl/boy that has no choice at all over what they are doing. Do you think it is a reasonable risk to take ?

FloraFox · 08/05/2013 20:18

There is more to coercion than trafficking. Not being trafficked does not equal making an informed and free decision to become a prostitute. Also I doubt you know anything about the methodology employed in that police investigation nor the relevance of the findings on the specific issue of whether there are trafficked women that the police failed to find or on broader issues about coercion.

I'm not reading your pro-pimp/punter link. Every time I've had an argument with pro-pimps/punters on this site about some so-called evidence that hookers are lovin it, it turns out they haven't read the source material or don't understand the most basic concepts of statistics and surveys but are merely spouting crap from some dodgy website. Based on your contributions so far, I'm putting you in the same category.

AnyFucker · 08/05/2013 20:22

arsenal I am sure my opinion of you means jackshit to you, but do you realise you come across as a man that has used/continues to use prostitutes ?

How does that square with your "good man" opinion of yourself ? As someone who feels upset by someone pointing out that children have their sexual integrity taken away by people who mean them harm ?

RumbleGreen · 08/05/2013 20:24

His link isn't even pro pimp one is the London met the other is soca.........

FloraFox · 08/05/2013 20:31

I can't see the underlying URL on my ipad and I have a policy of not clicking masked links from pro-pimp/punters. The rest of what I said stands.

YoniTime · 08/05/2013 20:56

Ooh, is someone trying to impersonate posters here in order to make us look bad? How desperate.

You don't have to invent quotes from punters to make them look bad. Simply collecting their true thoughts like the link in OP makes a very good anti-prostitution (anti punter?) argument.
