Comparing that advert with ecclesvet's is really interesting because the comments beneath both videos show the differing attitudes to DV depending on the sex of the perpetrator: the male on female violence being more likely to be dismissed by some as being just a laugh. To be fair this attitude was countered a lot but it's sad that it exists in the first place.
The "what about the menz" attitude was on both videos, with the female-on-male violence being held up as an example of misandry whilst the male-on-female violence was countered with the "this happens to men too".
Fortunately there were people on both saying that DV was wrong fullstop. Sensible people.
As for the level of violence - both were awful but the male-on-female ad was creepier because it wasn't obvious that the woman was still alive and there was more sexualization of the female victim (or does that go without saying?...)
