4 yr old ds is a big fan.

Me: But they don't do anything

Ds: They can do magic. They can make rainbows appear.

Me: Don't you think they want to run around though? And climb? And jump? And swim and have fun?

Ds: They can fight

Me: oh yes?

Ds: They could throw their dress at someone.

Me: Ah.

I never thought the day would come, but now my dd is over two the princess thing is getting unavoidable.
We saw Tangled with her older cousin. I agree with you that Rapunzel is brave and resourceful. This is good.
But, I agree with Frothy about her "needing" Flynn to do all this stuff. Plus, the whole thing about it being her evil mother/kidnapper was too much of the old school witch thing for my liking. They broke one stereotype but kept the other.

I've seen the trailer for Brave about a zillion times. It looks like it might be good, however, I am not getting my hopes up.

Ahh, I can't wait for Brave... Would be the first female centric Pixar film, IIRC. DS has alread declared it looks "cool"... May be onto a winner...

PS, is it shameful for me to add that I own most of the Disney Princess soundtracks? Yes? Blush
