Oh, how lovely. I will hope that he/she keeps the somersaults to the least annoying areas of your anatomy.

Smile

We will keep talking, and eventually what women say will become the norm.

I agree very much with the article. It makes me feel a bit depressed though. It confirms what I think as a radical feminist, but thereby also confirms that we need rid of the constructs of masculinity and femininity, if we want basic level humanity.

And, that 'ain't about to happen.

Good article though, highlighting much of the problem. But we all know that both men and women will fight the solution (dissolution of the current system which is based on dominance and submission as imposed, controlled and policed through the mechanism of gender).

Long road.

Aw, stewie, stripped is on my shelf, I must remember! Will go and watch thread so I don't forget to drag it out....

Masculinity was my first love, what a walk down memory lane. Smile

the constructs of masculinity and femininity

Yes.

Most definitely they need to be demolished.

Or at least as a starting point, recognised for the restrictive bullshit they are.

Oh boy I walked past a house today where a bloke was instructing his tiny son (about 2 or so I guess) about knuckle sandwiches.

The brutalisation/ masculinsation process, starts young. You've got to make sure boys don't express fear or upset by the time they get to school, especially in tears, haven't you? Otherwise everyone else's sons might bully them.

Sad
