Tv prog on ATM bout 3 women with big boobs

There are never progs bout men with oversized penises wanting them surgically reduced?

OP posts:
TheFallenMadonna · 27/11/2011 22:10

Is that something that happens?

irnbruguzzler · 27/11/2011 22:12

Yes well that's my point. Men accept their bodies whilst women are expected to mould theirs into society's ideal

turn it off sounds shit anyhow OP
who made it and what channel? a dirty desmond production big tittie telly for channel moron

read a book do something else more constructive

thestringcheesemassacre · 27/11/2011 22:16

Yes but having large breasts can be painful and hinder activity. I don't think having a large penis does.

TheFallenMadonna · 27/11/2011 22:26

Are small breasts more socially acceptable?

Really, I think breast augmentation might be a more reasonable target for you.

Onemorning · 27/11/2011 22:54

I'd love to have a breast reduction. Not for fashion reasons, or even patriarchal ones - they're just bloody uncomfortable to carry around all day.

LRDtheFeministDragon · 27/11/2011 23:03

Big breasts are really painful. Though I think if men had boobs, bras would be better constructed!

TBH, I do think small penises (as opp. to big ones) are one of the things men really do get nasty attitudes about and I assume men really do have surgery on them or there wouldn't be so many adverts for it?

irnbruguzzler · 27/11/2011 23:57

The prog was actually quite good . Was bbc3 production from 2007. In the end none chose surgery. All were wearing wrong sized bras which was contributing to back pain. One lost weight. One did some lingerie modelling to boost confidence.

I have 3 RL friends who had breast reductions

They feel more comfortable and clothes fit better

Two were on NHS, one private (because she could wait no longer)

Funnily enough, the private op is the one that had complications which had to be sorted out by the NHS but there ya go

irnbruguzzler · 28/11/2011 00:40

If clothes don't fit then the clothes should change. Do you realise how ridiculous it sounds to have potentially lethal surgery to fit into clothes?

youngermother1 · 28/11/2011 00:46

Big breasts are really painful. Though I think if men had boobs, bras would be better constructed!

Is this because all companies and clothes designers are men and there are no women capable of designing good bras??

Or is it because most women wear the wrong size and should make an effort to get fitted properly?

AnyFucker · 28/11/2011 00:47

well

< muses, where to start >

Perhaps you should speak to those women I know who had chronic backache from having breasts far too large for their frame...whose posture and bodily confidence had suffered for years

who had to spend ££ on bras that were specially made for a small rib cage, but massive knockers

who were bullied and targeted all though school (and in some cases, during their work life) for having knockers completely out of proportion to the rest of their size

for those who were a size 18 on top, and a size 10 for skirts/trousers

who didn't feel they had a conversation with many people eye to eye instead of eye to chest all through their life

of course, society should change

until then, I reserve the right for women to change their body to make their lives easier (without invoking the shallow judgement of people like IBG)

irnbruguzzler · 28/11/2011 00:49

I think most of the pain is women wearing the wrong sized bra. I'm a J cup but I get measured for new bras from bravissimo every few months. Surgery is using a chainsaw to cut butter imo

OP posts:
AnyFucker · 28/11/2011 00:50

that's a strange analogy

irnbruguzzler · 28/11/2011 00:56

How do you know the pain was from the breasts or from the wrong bra?

The more women get surgery the more it normalises small breasts so the more the ones left with big breasts feel 'odd'.

Telling women to have complex dangerous surgery with lifelong health implications ( it can make your nipples fall of ffs) to stop men staring is going back down the ' don't wear short skirts or it's your fault you're raped' straw argument.

OP posts:
AnyFucker · 28/11/2011 00:59

How do you know it wasn't ?

AnyFucker · 28/11/2011 00:59

and I don't "tell" women anything

irnbruguzzler · 28/11/2011 01:07

Society 'tells' women that.

I can talk about it because I've been there done that bought the size 18 t shirt

Do you realise this is the feminist section??

OP posts:
AnyFucker · 28/11/2011 01:07

I get what you are saying IBG, I really do

just not really agreeing with your rather judgemental stance about individual women

AnyFucker · 28/11/2011 01:08

your last post...case in point

I know exactly which section I am in thanks

Himalaya · 28/11/2011 01:10

LRD, youngermother1. I think uncomfortable bras are more to do with the physics of weight and strap width, than the sex of the designer or the wearer.

There are comfortable bras for big boobs, they just tend to have triple rows of hooks and eyes and wide shoulder straps, and so they don't fly off the shelf.

I remember buying one of Michelle Mone's Ultimo bras when they first came out - was one of the most uncomfortable things I've ever worn.

AnyFucker · 28/11/2011 01:12

...now if we were talking about breast enlargements we might be on exactly the same page

youngermother1 · 28/11/2011 01:20

Himalaya - my comment was aimed at the previous post which i quoted -I agree with you, I was just saying I don't think things would be better if men had breasts, although would also have the same issues

ComradeJing · 28/11/2011 09:39

I'm a 32f or 30g I have small shoulders, small ribcage and lovely but large breasts.

Causes me no end of strife due to comments, cat calls, badly fitting clothing, neck and back pain and so much more. I miss my perky little d cups of pre baby.

I would never judge a woman for getting a reduction and would think about it myself. It's sad that women need to fit the patriarchal guidelines for acceptable beauty but I find it odd that this aspect of it gets anyone riled up over high heals, publc waxing, breast enlargements etc.

WhatsWrongWithYou · 28/11/2011 09:51

I saw that programme years ago and I found it quite sad (as a 30G myself) that these women were being made to feel self-conscious about something they'd been born with.

I've been through all that and come out the other side - or maybe, as a 48yo, I'm just generally 'invisible' now so my boobs or lack of don't get noticed.

As regards the back pain; I think it's probably a mixture of wearing the wrong bra or bad posture - I stooped throughout my teens to try and minimize their appearance and have been paying the consequences for a long long time. At least I'm now aware of it and constantly try and address/correct it.

But I'm glad I never had the nerve or wherewithall to plunge in and have them reduced - why should I, just because some arses can't keep their eyes and gobs in check?
