Feminist Sister Hoodie

I have just designed a range of Feminist Sister Hoodie and wondered what you thought of them and whether you would wear the word 'Feminist' and declare your feminism to the world.

Also would you be interested in other products with the word 'feminist' on them?

Hi, I had a look at the site.

Did you design the other clothes, or just the Feminist Sister Hoodie one?

Either way, I did like it. Not sure if I would wear it as I don't wear many hoodies, but I wouldn't have a problem with wearing the word 'feminist'.

Loud and proud!

Hi - yes I did and I could do more - what garments would you wear?

why does it say 'feminist sister hoodie' on it? i'm a bit baffled, sorry...

i prefer the fawcett society 'this is what a feminist looks like' t-shirt.

and it has the added advantage of not explaining that it's a t-shirt.

i have no problem with proclaiming that i'm a feminist. but i'd feel a bit dim proclaiming that i'm wearing a hoodie by having it printed on my back.

it reminds me a bit of 'i'm with stupid -> ) which i know is daft...

or does it not actually say 'hoodie'? is that just printing over the picture? in which case, i apologise profusely.

and tittering a little bit at the crown. is it supposed to be reclaiming the symbol from the 'keep calm' crowd? i'm not sure it works, tbh.

and i know the 'sister' thing is showing solidarity to the sisterhood, but again, i think it might be overkill to actually print it.

one or the other.

feminist or sister. using both makes it look as though you are Trying Too Hard. and adding Hoodie makes it look like you're a Bit Dim.

i wear hoodies all the time though. and i have no issues with the word feminist.

sorry. Blush
jus' bein' honest. loads of other women might kill for it.

just looked at the rest.

i could potentially wear the 'i hate housework' t shirt (for doing the cleaning), and i'd probably drink out of the 'domestic slave' mug at home, in an ironic sorta way, but other than that it's not really me, so i think it's probably we just have very different taste. it isn't anything i'd buy. (and i consider myself a fairly modern military mother)

good luck. i'm all for military spouses finding a source of independent income that can be touted round the world with them. i'm not sure i had bingo ads in mind Grin, but again, each to their own. hope it works out.

Oh, sorry OP - didn't reply to this sooner.

Although MadWoman was a bit critical I actually think her questions and comments were useful and see where she's coming from.

I liked the 'Do not Touch the Bump' maternity top, written in French. I'd wear that, even though last time I spoke French was over a decade ago in GCSE French.

I liked the 'Peace and Love' t-shirt, the 'Who's Queen' bag most out of everything.

Wasn't keen on the 'Domestic Slave' slogans... don't like the idea of wearing clothes that label me as a slave, even if they are ironic.

Overall, good products, good range of items.
