StewieGriffinsMom, he's not the convener of the justice committee any more, that's the position he's resigned from. He is however still an MSP although will not be standing for re-election. I don't think he should be allowed to retain any public position at all, it's a pity he's being allowed to finish his term as MSP.

I think the protest should have gone ahead. It looks like a pre-emptive strike on his part, a tiny concession. WTF is he still doing as an MSP and without apologizing for what he said, just banging on about being "poor-me-misunderstood"

Jesus - it really beggars belief. The poor girl probably had no idea what was happening to her.
