here
March against male violence....

The next London one is 5th March 2011 btw - maybe a bunch of us should get together for that and march with a Mumsnet feminists banner?!

Yep the Manchester one. Grin If I go I'll be on the train too...

excellent, I have just checked and I have got trains every hour Grin

DH has just agreed he can just about handle looking after all 3 dcs (otherwise I would have brought ds2 and put him in a dress Wink).

would you like to meet up at the station? (And that applies to any other MNers who fancy going too, of course!)

From my experience of Reclaim the Nights, kids are fine at women only things. Of course it depends on the age of them, and the event, but if you're ever wondering in the future it might well be OK.

Are they doing something at Manchester Picalli station at the moment? My train look really odd. Confused (I'm not sure why I imagine you would know)

Sure. Sounds good. Grin

Wish I could! Have been to two MWRs in London and planning to go again this year - the women who started it are lovely and amazing

Hope you both have a lovely time.

And also agree that children are usually fine on "women only" marches. Certainly seen little boys on MWR London.

oh I wasn't entirely serious about putting ds2 in a dress. But we do put him in pink babygros from time to time when we have run out of clean boy or gender neutral ones to amuse dd and as an experiment. (it is fucking blatant what happens btw, everyone says how pretty she is). We call her Susie.

oh I hope you can SGM!

I am very limited in what I do at the moment because I am still bf ds2 (but he is big enough to need a routine IYSWIM - if I took him out and got back late he wouldn't fall asleep in the buggy, he would just cry) but I realised I can get to Manc and back in a day without too much trouble (and quite cheaply compared with the trains to London) Smile

Hi

I am going to the Manchester MWR on Sunday 10 Oct 2010.

Are there any women out there in the Doncaster, South Yorkshire area who are interested in Feminism. Even if you dont want to be active it would be nice just to have someone to talk to. I am also going to the Feminism conference in London on 23 October. There are lots of things going on if anyone is interested. Please get get in touch if you live in the South Yorkshire area. It would be nice not to feel so alone! There is also a Reclaim the Night March in Leeds on 4 December if anyone is interested.

Here's hoping!
