I'm very peripheral to this topic and haven't any background in feminist theory but i'd be really interested to hear what anybody thinks of this book?

I suppose i should say upfront that i really wanted to like it but i just didn't get on with it.

I really enjoyed the Barbara Kingsolver novel Prodigal Summer which is about strong women living close to nature and i guess is 'ecofeminist' (i think?) so i thought i might find ecofeminism interesting but i can't get on with the wolves book (although i'm not even sure if that is ecofeminism or if there are many types of ecofeminsim).

I'd be really interested in any thoughts about the wolves book or any thoughts on ecofeminism in general or other ecofeminist books.

Thanks.

No, i didn't read the whole thing.. i got about half way through the first section then skipped to the second and read a little bit of that then gave up... it's still by my bed though and i keep wanting to try again and wanting to find something good in there.

I couldn't tell the difference in most of the early stories between 'intuition' and prejudice.. it seemed to be saying that gut instinct based on first appearances is more valid than logical reason or giving people a chance Confused
