Excellent news..!

However I still dont understand the thinking behind singling this out as the one crime that you can get granted anominity for...

Well thank god for that.

PosieParker · 26/07/2010 15:56

Despite my protests before I am delighted that this has happened. Amazing what talking to a load of men can do for one's resolve!!!

HumphreyCobbler · 26/07/2010 15:59

Mumsnet really changed my mind on this. To begin with I idly thought it was a good plan, only to be convinced that it was a terrible idea by the threads on here.

jenny60 · 26/07/2010 16:13

Hooray!

PosieParker · 26/07/2010 16:13

Bloody funny to see what the False rape society has to say about this, their trying to organise a million man march or something.

I expect the 'false rape society' are thrilled at the news that newspapers are to be leant on not to report on 'alleged' rapists.

Thanks to the coalition bollocks, campaigners have had to focus on this revolting proposal which has leant massive amounts of coverage of people who report rape as liars instead of working on stopping rape and supporting survivors. So pleased as I am that the proposal has been dropped - kudos to all that spoke out against it - it all leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
